My color is lasting
A darkened hue
That glimmers while passing you by

Still I wait for all the shades to change and I know
That I'll never rearrange the color of my soul

And while I know that's true
I find myself basking
In the color of you
And the light you're casting on me

And I find we blend together over time
And we make a whole new color that's yours and mine

Bright truth
Is luminescent 
From new moon 
To waning crescent

The yellows and blues
are omnipresent

Every shade has its place
