Preston and Jason come on to Luke’s show as a gesture of their respect for him- just kidding, it’s only because they were bothered to come on for so long. They are both musicians who make Luke laugh a lot and they happen to have written the amazingly funky theme song for “Fear of Speaking” called “Wine Drunk”. They discuss the parallels between the performance of stand-up comedy, which neither of them have done, and live music, which they have. This episode has been split into two shows as to avoid it exceeding an hour. God forbid anyone browsing through comedy podcasts on Soundcloud has that kind of asking patience. Fear of Speaking Ep. 5 Pt.1 : Musician, Preston Fulks, Panders to Luke's Petty Insecurities

This is part two of the two part final episode of Fear of Speaking. Luke sits down with good buddy and musician friend, Jason Gassel, to discuss live performance and how Luke should conduct interviews from now on. Jason, at one point, when asked about how Luke should interview a guest that he plans to have on the show, is confused at why the question was brought up in the first place. This kind of tension makes way to some interesting and rather awkward debate!

Fear of Speaking Ep. 5 Pt. 2 : Luke Gets Stage Advice from Jason, the Guy Who Wrote His Theme Song

Luke recorded his first time getting up in front of people to tell jokes. I know what you’re thinking. What’s the big deal and more pressing even: what is the point of all this. It’s not a big deal. There's no point, really.
However, it did lead to the shortest and sweetest episode of Fear of Speaking. 

The episode is 7 minutes and 44 seconds with, in no particular order, some music, the 2 minute set, a monologue, and a poorly recorded conversation with Trevor Marshal, president of Knox College improv club, that took place in the thunder and rain on the walk back to their dorms.

Fear of Speaking Ep. 5.5 : Luke's First Time Onstage. What does he want? A cookie?

The hilarious and incredibly generous Comedian and Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr took time out of his busy schedule to talk to the ever-nervous Luke. 
They talked exactly one hour before Roy went onstage to perform at Thalia Hall in Chicago, Il. The conversation was great. 

Roy talked about starting out in comedy and he also asked Luke about how his set went!

Luke is very grateful. So grateful and inspired, in fact, that the show, Fear of Speaking, will now continue to happen on a weekly Basis.

Fear of Speaking Ep. 6 : The Daily Show's Roy Wood Jr Kindly Chats with Lukie Boy

On Episode 8, musician, funny man and one of Luke's very best friends, Benjamin Isaac Dorevitch, comes on to talk about their musical past. Ben and Luke produced a ten track rap album, their senior year of high-school, called, Those Who Don’t Need Therapy are Lucky”. 

They performed a live show for their friends and family at the Winnetka Youth Organization under their rapper names, “Btim and Sherms”. This was all accomplished for something called “Senior Project” where they took four weeks off of school to work on an independent “study”. They “studied” music. 

While they took four weeks off of school to make an album, they spent a hell of a lot of time together. In this time, they made each other laugh, learned lots about each other and had deep meaningful conversations that have since shaped them as the humans they are today.

This is a very special episode. For a long time, Luke have been wanting to talk to Ben about how they met each other and the importance of their friendship.

It’s important to have funny and supportive friends. 

It really is.

Fear of Speaking Ep. 8: Ben and Luke Made a Rap Album Once...

Popular YouTuber, Kevin Peterson or The1Janitor, creates honest, personal and thoroughly enjoyable videos. They’re about social-justice and sometimes more random topics like the fact that “You’re Probably Not Really a Nice Guy”. He has upwards of 87,000 subscribers on his youtube account. It contains hundreds of fascinating, thought bending, and challenging original videos. 

On Episode 9 of Fear of Speaking, Kevin and Luke talk about the best ways to take in criticism about one’s work. How is a person supposed to constantly create content while also coping with numerous amounts of judgement being made towards their work by friends, family…and sometimes just complete strangers? 

All that's tackled on this week’s episode.

Also, Kevin majored in creative writing and Luke is majoring in creative writing. Luke got overly excited about this.
