Based in San Francisco, California, Farsight has firmly established himself as a name to watch in the past five years, with releases on labels like [Re]sources, Prjkts and Scuffed exhibiting his deftly-blended melting pot of club music influences.

‘Renegade’ is his second release on Scuffed following 2019’s Oaktown EP, which picked up support from the likes of HAAi, Jaguar and FAUZIA.

Farsight sets out a clear statement of intent on title track ‘Renegade’, with his own vocodered vocals delivering immortal lines like “best beats in the biz coming atcha”, backed by anthemic rave stabs, weighty 808s, and raucous breaks.

Scuffed Recordings close 2021 with their annual Scuffed Presents compilation, presenting four new artists to look ahead to in 2022.

Closing out the release is @rumu, who debuted on Dusky’s 17 Steps label in 2020 and has since seen across-the-board support on BBC Radio 1, NTS, Rinse and Balamii. He joins the Scuffed camp with ‘Splinter’, a frantic electro-inspired stinger.

As the second release with the Maison Fauna imprint, “The Sequence” EP is a massive, electro-focused double hitter, containing two fusion heaters destined to tear up the club. Parisian producer, Pépé Elle, kicks off the EP with a deep melancholic 2-step track, featuring dreamy chords. GLOCKTA, then, brings us to his “North East Abode” with chopped up sugary R&B vocals and dancy drums before flipping to the other side, where DJ SUNROOF transports us to the dancefloor with a solid banger built around heavy basslines. “Who Goes There” by Earthnut sets a perfect conclusion to the EP, mixing rich shuffling drums and old-school R&B samples.
