This ChigoPop Volume 1. This is the Summer 2014 Installment of ChigoPop. Track titles and descriptions below.


1.	Free Falling (Tropical Mojito Remix) by Matoma & Nelsaan: I am starting out the inaugural ChigoPop playlist with a fairly unknown artist combo. While bold to start with a remix to a cover, the Kygo feel on top of John Mayer vocals screams summer.  
2.	Not Going Home by Great Good Fine Ok: This song’s poppy synths and the artists catchy name solidifies a spot on this list. This definitely carries the vibe from track 1 and should help these guys become a household name.
3.	Sail Away by Sammy Adams: Leave it to Wizzy to sample a 90’s classic. Who doesn’t like Enya’s “Orinoco Flow”? Sammy has always had trouble staying at the top, but his new mixtape is fire and should help him get back on the map.
4.	Monsters by Timeflies ft. Katie Sky: It’s nice to see Timeflies, who remixes and samples a lot of pop tracks to put some heart and emotion into this emotional track.  Just because Cal is on the road doesn’t mean the love bug doesn’t sting him every once in a while.  That’s evident in his voice.  Katie Sky holds it down on the hook to provide us with a catchy, heartfelt original from our frat-rapping friends, Timeflies.
5.	Up! By Samantha Jade:  This song has been out in the pop universe for some time now and it blows my mind that this has not already become an anthem for the summer season. If this is any indication of what Samantha Jade’s future holds in the pop music industry, I’ll be all up in that Fan Club.  
6.	Hold On, We’re Going Home(Drake Cover) by Christina Grimmie: Christina, a finalist on NBC’s smash television vocal competition show, The Voice, first introduced us to this hit in a thrilling performance on the show, where she seemed to win over the crowd.  This girl is a future star, and her unique cover of Drake’s 2013 hit is a great representation of her artistic creativity, which will carry her far in pop music to come.
7.	Eez-eh by Kasabian: This is unlike most of the tracks on this list, but after the first play, the guitar proved to be catchy and had me bopping my head.
8.	Just Be Mine by Cher Lloyd:  When I say vintage Cher Lloyd, I mean it. Anyone familiar with her smash hits “Want U Back”, “With Your Love”, and “Oath” will fall head over heals for this one.  She provides the teenage angst that we all crave in pop music. This UK X Factor star is becoming a staple in the industry and I couldn’t be happier.
9.	Stay by Tydi ft. Dia Frampton:  This song carries it self with its walking bassline and downright smooth melody.  Dia Frampton, ChigoPop Volume 1’s second “The Voice” contestant (Season 1) provides some catchy vocals for this song, ultimately showing why she was such a successful competitor on the Voice.
10.	XO (Beyonce Cover) by John Mayer: Does it get chiller than this.  Just when I thought “XO” (my favorite track off of Beyonce’s recent self-titled album) couldn’t get any better, John Mayer gives us a fresh, soulful take on this heartfelt hip-hop track that provides us with a killer combo of a summertime outdoor concert legend and Queen B herself.
11.	Back on Tracks by Sammy Adams: Again, Wizzy gives us great vibes with a catchy beat and his signature style lyrics.  I don’t know if this one makes it to the charts, but it deserves a shot. 
12.	Let’s Go by Tiesto ft. Icona Pop: Bring together arguably 2 of the most popular artists in music from 2013 and what do you get? A hot dance track “Let’s Go” that just begs to be on repeat.  I’ve already overdone this track with the windows down in the Silver Bullet, but I will not be disappointment when this inevitably becomes the summer 2014 anthem.  
13.	I Will Never Let You Down by Rita Ora: Rita Ora is becoming one of my favorite artists in pop music. Her sampling of Biggie’s Party and Bullshit in her 2012 hit How We Do sealed the deal for me and I could not wait for another pop hit to come. She did not disappoint with the release of I Will Never Let You Down.
14.	Stay With Me (Rainer + Grimm Remix) by Sam Smith: Sam Smith possesses arguably the hottest vocals since Adele.  This tracks gives you that, but with a funky beat that is sure to get your feet moving.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the original, but this remix is probably one of the very few that do this song any justice.
15.	Super Love by Dami Im: I have no clue who this chick is, but boy does she bring it on this track. This song is the inspiration by ChigoPop and has got me fired up for summer.  If I need a pick me up throughout the day, I throw Super Love on and take it for the ride that it is. The vocal prowess is pretty remarkable and I’m glad its finally arrived on my pop radar.
16.	Ugly Heart by G.R.L.: These girls have it. I can’t define it, but when I hear it, I am well aware that these girls are here to stay.  If you don’t follow pop music as closely as I do, you may not know that these girls, who brought us the chart topping hit Wild Wild Love, came out with a pumping track titles Vacation early summer 2013. I have been waiting for content from these girls for a while and the wait was well worth it.  
17.	Reminds Me Of You by Sam Smith: Another Sam Smith track on here and for good reason. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the guy reeks talent. Combine that with whatever shitty love situations he has gone through and you get a song like “Reminds Me Of You”. Heartfelt, catchy, and creamy.
18.	Problem by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea: I was a huge fan of Ariana Grande’s first album.  She showed her ability to create a smash hit as well as a love ballad. This one is definitely the former.  And why not team up with up and coming female rapper Iggy Azalea who seems to only make bangers? This is the best team on paper on ChigoPop Volume 1, and arguably the best team on the field.
19.	The World Is Ours by Aloe Blacc: From the man who brough you “The Man”, the vocals for Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” and “I Need a Dollar”, Aloe Blacc comes up with what I would consider the snubbed track for World Cup anthem.  While I love Pitbull, this song has a more “worldly” vibe and should have gotten the nod. In the spirit of the upcoming World Cup, I am putting these chilling vocals on the list.
20.	Talk Dirty (Luke Walsh Bucket Hat Creamix) by Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz: Last and certainly least, I wanted to give you guys a glimpse into some of the music making I have been getting into.  I find the original track to be hilarious and I could not resist putting my Viceroy inspired spin on 2 Chainz.
