New World (The Beginning)

Hi there,

my name is Łukasz Mackiewicz (Luke Ashmack) and I was born in 1992 in Warsaw, Poland.

Music has always played a major role in my life and I have been profoundly fascinated and enchanted by it from ever since I could remember.
I attempted to play the guitar for the very first time at the age of 10, yet I think the most significant and influential moment took place 2 years later, when after watching a G3 concert and Joe Satriani’s unbelievable feats I decided I want music to be a part of my life. I have learnt to play the guitar on my own, mostly by watching and copying licks & riffs shown on the instructional DVDs of my guitar-heroes over and over again.

After achieving a pretty satisfactory level in playing the electric guitar, the ubiquitous mainstream rock music started to be not enough for me, hence 
I began discovering other music genres such as progressive rock, movie scores, jazz and others, which allowed me to develop even more guitar playing techniques and this meant even more ways to express myself.

In order to be able to write more thoroughly-built compositions and understand the more theoretical aspects of music, I began to play the piano and I joined Komeda College of Music in Warsaw.

Nowadays, I am trying to help other young musicians with their music „paths” by giving private guitar lessons, which I absolutely love as I really enjoy seeing my students making progress and how much fun they have,playing the instrument.

In 2009, I became an endorsee of Ministar and Alden guitars and had been officially making demos of those at the Frankfurt Musik Messe till 2012.

In 2014-2015 I played in a Polish heavy-metal band called Scream Maker (screammaker.com). We played over 50 gigs in Europe & China!

In September 2015 I moved to Tokyo and it is here, where I will continue to create.
