i've been really into synthwave style art lately. this is my first creation and i'm pretty happy with it.

i started making this track a couple months ago, but it was just an unfinished loop. once i made the artwork i knew the song would be perfect for it so i went back and finished it.

different breed

it's monday! this one is a little different...
i made the first part of this instrumental late last year and sent it with two others to a media company that asked about using some of my music. 
last month i went back through those clips and turned them into full tracks. they all turned out pretty good, but this one is probably my favorite.

this one was so much fun to make. i thought the melody had a bit of a Bruferr vibe, so i leaned into it a little. if you aren't familiar with Bruferr Beatz, you can check out his music on youtube. he's an incredible artist.

i remember where i've heard this before...

this song was stuck in my head the other day on my way to work, but i couldn't remember where i had heard it. it made me really happy when i realized that it was something that i had made.

it's really exciting to think that i'm approaching the level of quality of music that i love listening to. i hope you enjoy listening as much as i do!

made a beat using a sample from the 76collective for the 76 beat challenge. i had a lot of fun making it and i definitely wasn't worried about "over producing" since the contest is judged by producers.

the beat felt kind of like a semi-futuristic bank heist so i made the thumbnail from the geekprank.com/hacker cuz i thought it was fitting (i'm not affiliated with them in any way).

i'm going to send this to an artist that i'm hoping to work with, so we'll see what happens.

on my own

after a weeks worth of work i scrapped almost everything.

this song used to have a piano sample, a flute, and all kinds of stuff. i put hours and hours into it trying to get it where i was happy with it and it just never felt 'good enough'.

then i added a melody on top which didn't fit with anything else, but i liked it better than everything else. so, i scrapped pretty much everything and rebuilt the song around the new melody. 

i'm much happier with it now and i can finally move on.

if enough people voice interest in hearing the original i will consider posting it (or at least a clip).

i don't want to go through this alone.

last year i started posting a beat every monday. it was hard to stay consistent cuz it would take me the whole week to make the beat and pretty soon i started prioritizing other things.

i didn't stop making music, i just stopped sharing it with you.
