The latest single from their imminent ‘Group Therapy’ album, Above & Beyond’s ‘Thing Called Love’ follows the widespread success of the trio’s recent crossover smash ‘Sun & Moon’ – a track playlisted by BBC Radio 1.  

Again featuring the distinctive vocals of Richard Bedford, ‘Thing Called Love’ is a powerful song-driven anthem that upholds Above & Beyond’s unique ability to marry innovative electronic grooves with stirring, thoughtful lyrics that are the antithesis of throwaway club tracks.   

A huge underground favourite that has already clocked up over 1 million views on YouTube and touched thousands with its words, ‘Thing Called Love’ has even acted as the soundtrack to both marriage proposals and even wedding days of those feeling the force of it’s message the most. Ironically, though, the lyrics were actually intended to tell the story of a relationship that never was – a lost love rather than realised.

In keeping with the stadium-sized sound of ‘Sun & Moon’, Above & Beyond’s Burning Bridges Mix of ‘Thing Called Love’ blends a chunky electro groove with a forward-thinking, euphoric melody drop. Sitting neatly outside genres, ‘Sun & Moon’ is another festival-ready anthem with meaning from Above & Beyond.

Omnipresent online throughout the current global situation, Josh Gabriel, Dave Dresden and Sub Teal have embraced the streaming world through their Club Quarantine streams, rapidly building on their devoted community.

While they showcase their eclectic musical tastes weekly on Twitch, 2020 has seen a number of polished reworks from their ‘Remedy’ album, including contributions from Qrion, Genix and Fatum. Providing one of the most impactful packages so far, ‘Something Bigger’ sees two club reworks from Elevven and Nourey. 

When Elevven last collided with Gabriel & Dresden, it was the San Francisco’s duo’s remix of ‘You’ (alongside Myon). The result: an earth-shattering rework that has quickly become an Anjunabeats classic. Their remix of ‘Something Bigger’ hits even harder, an immediate favourite of label heads Above & Beyond. 

Providing a more melodic counterpoint is Boston-based, MIT student Nourey. First picking up the guitar at ten years old, Nourey soon turned to music production - her debut single ‘Skylar’ in 2019 receiving multiple plays on Group Therapy Radio. Inspired heavily by the works of Above & Beyond, Andrew Bayer and Cosmic Gate, we expect to hear a lot more from Nourey in the future.

Since making his professional debut as an artist in 2011, Luke Bond has been pushing even the most high-tech seismic equipment to its limits. Spending his early twenties on the lips of every major artist and label, the DJ, producer and sought-after collaborator gained a huge following not only through the blistering productions released on labels such as Armada Music and Garuda, but also by laying waste to international events such as Electric Zoo, Godskitchen, the Hollywood Palladium and Groove Cruise.
