An exciting new debutant to the Proton Music roster, Dennis Liu showcases his dernis, the kid production moniker with a quartet of original tracks. As a member of the San Diego-based Inquiry Collective, the US DJ is no stranger to the limelight with his performances behind the decks and as part of an annual desert party of epic proportions. Furthermore, as a production assistant to Claude VonStroke and Dirtybird through his azb.studio, dernis, the kid has production credentials few can rival. Featuring the vocal talents of fellow Californian and vocalist, Clara Jo, "Let Me Go" sets the stage with its rhythmic prowess, marrying the vocal with a sub-bass groove and tech house beats. "Maybe" maintains momentum with a steady 4/4 rhythm, adorned by Clara Jo's layered vocals, piano melodies, and a recurring title-infused phrase that crafts a lush sonic landscape. The mood mellows with "Mend" and its laidback arpeggios, organic snare fills, and sumptuous pads, evoking a sense of tranquillity amid subtle melodic variations. "Miss Me" finds vocals weaving seamlessly through atmospheric soundscapes, complemented by a groovy bassline, and punctuated by well-placed sound effects. The resulting effect is to create a truly mesmerising auditory experience. Finally, "Questions" entrances listeners with hypnotic rhythms and glitched vocals that evolve over its near seven-minute duration, building layers of vocal cuts that form their own melody as they pitch up and down, before a dynamic bassline takes centre stage, concluding the journey with a dazzling display of tech house mastery.

A combined total of over 750 production credits for some of the finest underground dance imprints has seen Gai Barone and Luke Brancaccio at the vanguard of electronic music for well over a decade. From JOOF Recordings and Zerothree to Bedrock and Sudbeat Music plus Gai's own Afterglow imprint, the Italian / UK Axis needs little introduction. With collaborative efforts on the likes of Renaissance, Selador and Guy J's Lost & Found, Gai Barone & Luke Brancaccio's Proton Music debut is a typically impressive reworking. Containing themes of "Maybe" while retaining the essence of the original's melodic character, the duo's unique production prowess is evidenced courtesy of cadenced stabs and sequenced arpeggio phrase with driving beat and shuffling hi-hat supplying top-line energy and dynamism. Using the breakdown to reveal the vocal phrasing more fully, a bassline pattern full of gravitas drops in the second half before the melodic patterns of earlier phases come to the fore to close out.

Through the "Organik" and "Sunsweat" EPs for Proton Music, Imran Khan's production credentials have never been in doubt. A series of remixes for Petar Dundov, GMJ, Dmitry Molosh and Sebastian Sellares between 2019 and 2023, have added to the UK star's portfolio as he returns with a suitably dynamic reworking of the title track. A hallmark rhythmic vehicle of heavy kick and deep groove supply the foundation for a muted arpeggio to supply hypnotic melodic variation, while vocal flourishes from Clara Jo pepper the 7-minute track. Luscious pads, sweeping effects and growling bass notes add to the aural collage with meticulous attention to detail to create yet another powerful reminder of Imran Khan's abundance of talent and technique.

Dear listener,
finally this year, I managed to see the man burn!
In the weeks and months before Burning Man a lot of my friends kept on telling me how amazing it was and most of them would conclude their eulogy with something like: „Burning Man changed my life“.
Well, I can not certainly say that Burning Man changed my life, but what I know for sure is that my life changed afterwards ;-)
Very glad that I made it to this far away place and I hope to return next year.
I want to thank Lio and everybody at our nice camp and of course the robots who invited me to let their hearts beat according to my pace. It has been truly amazing. 
The only thing I really had to struggle with, that Sunday morning on the Playa, was the sunlight that made it almost impossible to spot anything on the display, so please please please you geeks out there, come up with something that can work in sunlight, because we all love the sun!

Zuccasam comes proper on the 'Don't Know' EP with an impressive release of two killer cuts ably assisted by Luke Brancaccio with a rare solo appearance on remix duties. 

It's been a bit of a whirlwind for Zuccasam, who took previous experience signing to the likes of Virgin and re-entered the underground realm just over a year ago. His sound is certainly finding the right fans as Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Just Her and Braxton regularly champion his beats.

Luke Brancaccio has quietly built a respected name in the global electronic music scene for a long time. From early success as one half of Brancaccio & Aisher, with the track “It’s Gonna Be…” — which reached #1 on both the US and UK dance charts and broke into the UK Top 40 — to leading the darker, more experimental Suicide Sports Club, his career has been marked by thoughtful evolution rather than loud statements

Instead of riding the wave of commercial momentum, Luke chose to explore new territory. With Suicide Sports Club, he blended live instrumentation with electronic textures, creating a sound that stood apart from the mainstream. Their debut album earned critical acclaim, including Album of the Year in Arena Magazine and a top ten spot in DJ Mag, landing him on the magazine’s cover. The project also saw him share stages with acts like Radiohead and Beck, expanding his reach beyond clubs into a broader live context.

Over the years, Luke has released on a range of respected imprints including Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Circus, and Defected — and has become one of the most prolific contributors to John Digweed’s Bedrock label. His productions often strike a balance between emotional depth and dancefloor impact, with tracks like the Billboard #1 “Lovely Day” standing out as fan favourites.

More recently, his focus has shifted to Tokyo Fan Club — a collaborative project that’s resonated deeply with both audiences and DJs. The music draws on nostalgic influences while offering something current and personal. Some releases reinterpret tracks by Air and Rockers Revenge, but the heart of the project lies in its original material — subtle, sincere, and well-crafted. The remake of Air’s “All I Need” in particular struck a chord, gaining widespread support and offering a fresh perspective on a classic.

Never one to chase the spotlight, Luke Brancaccio has earned his place through consistency, curiosity, and a genuine love for the craft. His work continues to speak for itself — quietly, but clearly.

Luke Brancaccio is a DJ and producer of global experience and escalating renown. A perennial of Bedrock, with whom he has had more releases than any other artist, he has also signed with Circus, Selador and Crosstown Rebels, and his cutting-edge tracks have swept the charts, generating several number ones. Widespread critical acclaim has lead to collaborations with Nick Muir and John Digweed.

Now at the vanguard of his craft, he has just remixed a brace of classics; Air and Beth Hirsch’s “All I Need” for Last Man Music (the label of Maceo Plex, Solomun, UNKLE and Bookashade), and Rockers Revenge’s “Walkin’ On Sunshine”. An album is on the way.
