Badmath is a project based on exposing, exploring, and exploiting the inherent algorithms employed by all audio processing software for the unique properties each set of mathematics imposes on analogue and digital sound. From uses involving sound design to odd meters and syncopations, the audio is often processed in such a way that it creates its own melodies, grooves, and timbres independent from preprogramed material. Incorporating influences as distant as old jazz and funk to cutting edge bass and hip hop, the music is an on-going research and development project into the effects music have on people mentally, physiologically and spiritually, as well as how technology constantly redefines that relationship.
Above all else, its just music.
