In Loving Memory of Pappaw Wade (1935-2016) 

One of my grandfather’s favorite songs was “It Is Well with My Soul”. The last few weeks since he died, that phrase has stuck with me: “It is well”. Even in the midst of the sickness, death and darkness that we face in this world, we can rejoice in the Lord, because He is not far away. He is right here with us. We have His peace, which surpasses all of our understanding. We can say “It is well” because we know our home is not this world, but a place where there is no sickness, no death, and no darkness. It is a place where all things will be restored, made new, and made whole. “It is well with my soul.” (Philippians 3:12 - 4:9)
