Anchorage is a piece that I constructed throughout the earlier days of quarantine and one that I've grown quite fond of. I've never been to Alaska, although I couldn't picture anything else while writing it. Maybe it's the mountains or the idea of tranquility, but most of all, it's the state of finding peace when everything around us is so chaotic and unhinged. My only hope is that this track is that for you, the calm during the storm.

Sommar is the second part to Anchorage, it is a subtle and gentle reminder to continue your pursuit of happiness. It is about finding joy in the little things throughout our day and reflecting on those moments.

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, singer/songwriter and full-time landscape designer Luke Merrick seeks to resonate with the self-proclaimed wanderers and wayfarers of this world. His debut single 'Roam' is a heartfelt and raw apology for leaving your loved ones behind as you set up roots elsewhere. 

Only at the beginning of his career, Luke plans to release more music in 2024 inspired by his folk origins.
