Just a fun, light...stop and take a breath song.

I wrote the 1st verse when I woke up on the 2nd day in our new, empty apartment on Vancouver Island. This place is magical and hard to really explain in photos and words.

The verse was so natural and strong I ran for my guitar. The song just wrote it self.

Put on headphone's, take a breath and slip away.

My Backyard

This song was written in about 15min. As songwriters we don't get many of these. I sat down after binge watching Yellowstone, and wanted to write a song that could (not that I know to go about it) be used and fit in the show.

I am very proud of this one. Its simple recording, just me and a guitar (original version). The guitar part is simple the melody is heartfelt. What I am most proud of are the lyrics. I always struggle with lyrics, its work 80% of the time. These just came.

Remember when you were a kid and anything was possible?! You could daydream for days about being whatever you wanted to be, going places, real or not real. There were no lines, borders or boxes keeping you in.
This song is about that. The man you know now, is the boy you never got to meet.

Did you think I wouldn't have a little trippy ear treats, candy in your headphones song? Throw the headphones on and get lost in the sounds.

This song started with a riff. After a year of not being able to record live in stereo hearing the full tones, full surround sound, full delay pings and dings we finally upgraded and it just sounded so good not to write a song.
