Silk Royal is thrilled to present Silk Remixed 04, the fourth installment of the annual series, featuring various veteran talents and rising stars in progressive. Kicking off the compilation is Nigel Good's jubilant remix of "Sumr" by Dezza & Shoreliners. Fresh off his debut artist album, which reached #1 overall on Beatport, Nigel treats us to a sparkling, complextro-influenced progressive gem, rife with feel-good vibes. Vintage & Morelli, one of the standout artists from Silk's Arrival division, offers a fresh, peak-hour take on "Night Time" by Sound Quelle. A bouncy house rhythm sits below a stormy and evocative lead, punctuated by a haunting vocal sample. The main break is a goosebumps-inducing aural experience, as the vocal motif and piano poignantly coalesce. Aeron Aether's "Synthanelia" still finds a home in our radio and live sets; Jayeson Andel, a breakthrough artist on our imprint, offers a full-on trance stormer with his new rendering, which has received early radio support from Arty. The memorable string themes of the original soar above an adrenalin-fueled, stadium-rocking groove. French talent Matt Fax, another leader of Arrival, offers a new interpretation of one of Silk Royal's early releases, Pconvolve's "Cosmology". As the title implies, celestially-inspired synths transport the listener to the far reaches of the galaxy; a progressive breaks interlude and explosive drop in the latter half of the track are true release highlights. David Broaders closes out the first half of the release with an awe-inspiring interpretation of "Starman" by Gregory Esayan. A thunderous groove resolves into a beautiful piano and string-themed breakdown; these poignant melodies are some of the most enduring from the compilation this year.

New label recruit Illuminor, a rising duo from Australia, add a bit more punch to eleven.five's classic "Pinnacle". A highly innovative groove, as well as new variations on the main piano motif from the original, stand out in this fantastic new version. Trusty label veteran Sundriver offers a driving take on Denis Laurent feat. Kaisa Martina's "All I Need". A vintage lead chord progression, with numerous euphoric synth layers and arpeggios, paves the way for Kaisa's romantic vocal in the breakdown. British sensation Ben Coda, who has contributed in the past to the Silk Remixed series, returns with a peak-hour rendering of Zack Roth's beloved "Tekkadon". A clubby groove crescendoes into the breakdown, where the newly added, trance-influenced lead shines, alongside the memorable original theme. Russian duo Soarsweep, fresh off an EP on parent label Silk Digital, offers another visionary remix; this time, they have accentuated the emotive themes of "Both", originally a collaboration between Blood Groove & Kikis and LTN. Closing out the EP, Harold-Alexis, one of the stars of our chillout division (Silk Sofa), offers a drum & bass rework of Seagrave's "Storm". With bleeding-edge sound design throughout, this emotive track will be appreciated by fans in search of visionary, outside-of-the-box EDM.

Celebrating their 100th release, John Johnson's ICONYC imprint calls upon one of electronic music's brightest talents to reflect on the label's story thus far. Hailing from Cordoba, Ezequiel Arias has grown into one of Argentina's most prodigious progressive house producers. Upon making his debut in 2013, Ezequiel became a favourite of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. A 2017 appearance on Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records proved to be a pivotal point in the Argentine's career, eventually leading to his first remix for ICONYC later that summer. Now regarded as one of 2017's best tracks, Ezequiel's interpretation of 'Tell Me' by Galestian & Mira J enjoyed an unprecedented six month long stay in Beatport's Progressive House tracks chart, while earning consistent play from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Khen and many other A-list DJs. After rounding out 2017 with a release on Cid Inc's Replug Records, Ezequiel took another leap forward with his debut EP for Sudbeat Music in 2018, further solidifying his place amongst the progressive house elite. Now embarking on the biggest project of his young career, ICONYC hands over its label catalog for Ezequiel to craft two 90 minute mixes, highlighting a medley of the imprints finest moments. For a label that has amassed such an impressive discography the Argentinean DJ was spoilt for choice. Over a two year period ICONYC has curated a catalog that is fresh and comprehensive in equal measure, a sonic platform where new talent is nourished to grow and scene veterans shine. Beginning the journey in methodical fashion with two electronica cuts from the hugely up and coming Dutch duo Huminal, Ezequiel then goes on to program a sound story to get truly lost in. Highlighted by cuts from Alex O'Rion, Cid Inc., BP, Framework, Kamilo Sanclemente, Danny Lloyd, Praveen Achary, Li-Polymer, Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic, Dmitry Molosh, Andre Sobota, Filter Bear and Ezequiel himself, it amounts to three hours of the finest, most cutting edge melodic house the underground has to offer. Two stunning mixes from one of the scenes brightest and most hyped young talents. Tripswitch’s onedotsixtwo label continues to build its catalogue of first class releases with the ‘Convergence EP’, courtesy of an outstanding 3-track collaborative project joining Mønje & Partenaire. Within the unique melting pot of world-class talent that is emerging from Argentina, Sebastián Sellarés (aka Mønje) and Axel Bray (aka Partenaire) are standout future stars shining brightly throughout their ‘Convergence EP’.  

The EP title track radiates quality from start to finish, painting a beautiful, spellbinding, progressive musical portrait with a sophisticated layered structure, atmospheric chords and subtle motifs.  Meanwhile, ‘Illuminaria’ soars with a delightful glistening vigour, cleverly blending percussive elements with ever-evolving layers of melodic mastery – an exotic creation that shows precisely why the current renaissance of proper progressive house music is such a joy to behold.  For the EP’s climax, Mønje & Partenaire unleash ‘Opposed Auras’, a track that sees their hypnotic creativity in full-flow, where countless delicate touches combine to create a track of ever-evolving excellence – a perfect finale for this first class package.

This is Partenaire’s second outing on onedotsixtwo, having debuted with ‘Yesterdays’ – a beautiful melodic highlight on Tripswitch’s ‘In At The Deep End’ (ODST0001) compilation project that started the label’s journey joining of the dots across the thriving global scene with a boundary-blurring, proper progressive ethos.  The Buenos Aires native DJ/Producer has been steadily building a stunning portfolio of releases on labels such as ICONYC, Clubsonica, Auditen, Modern Agenda, Soundteller and Stellar Fountain. Sebastián Sellarés (Mønje) was born in Córdoba in 1998, and started to get into music when he was very young. With a steady flow of releases on the likes of Massive Harmony, Light Side Music, BC2, PHW Elements, BCSA, Stellar Fountain and many more, he is (alongside Partenaire) one of Argentina’s finest emerging creative talents.

Although separated by a 10-year age difference and over 700 km (Cordoba to Buenos Aires), Sebastián and Axel (without ever being together in the same room) shared thoughts and ideas on a journey to find their distinctive combined sound.  This remarkable EP for onedotsixtwo is the fruit of their unique convergence.

Cid Inc's Replug Records gets 2019 underway by welcoming Anton MAKe back to the label for a brand new EP. The Russian artist made his debut on the Finnish imprint in August of 2016 with 'Naja Nova', a three track EP in collaboration with fellow countryman Shamil OM. In addition to an appearance on Lonya's Asymmetric Recordings, 2018 saw Anton return to Replug with a contribution to the label's highly regarded 'Defined' series. Now getting the new year underway in style the Russian artist presents his first solo EP for the label entitled 'Divo'. 

Anton's affinity for mystical storyboarding has never been more profound than on the lead piece 'Divo'. Anchored by a hypno-groove and sultry rhythmic structures, it's a production that flows through a myriad of free form motifs. Highly dramatic throughout, ghostly synths and astral effects converge for moments of sonic integrity, while timely drum fills and emerging atmospheres add to its mysterious charm. Redolent synth swells then come in waves, gently evolving across several well timed breaks, before soulful strums put a cap on this meditative gem.

Further diversifying his portfolio Anton showcases a deeper sound on 'OII'. Beautifully constructed, it's tight rhythmic framework is adorned with tepid overlays and wistful qualities. Evocative in nature, it's a creation where the sum of its parts exceeds expectation, relying on harmonic resonance, cosmic designs and a brief but euphoric theme to deliver it's spiritually uplifting message.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the exquisite vibes of 'Mandorlato'. Beginning with chunky bass stabs and spacey atmospheres, it's laid back cadence flows while layers of drums assemble in a lush organic space. Surreal and dream like, tonal creativities and fragmented sonics trail across the framework, smoothly shifting energy into an emotive interlude. Replete with reflective qualities it's an impassioned finale to a stunning collection of music from Anton. One of artistic growth and boundless creativity, setting up what should be a memorable year for the Russian artist.
