This is one of my favorite works of Chopin! I'm so lucky I get to play this music... 

Luke Rhodes: Chopin, Mazurka in A Minor, Op. 17 No. 4

Luke Rhodes is a pianist and composer based in Lawrence, Kansas. In 2011, Luke began an undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of Kansas as a student of concert pianist and Steinway Artist Steven Spooner. In 2013, he undertook an additional degree in music composition with Forrest Pierce.  
 
In 2010, Luke had the honor of being selected to tour Italy as part of the Young Artist Program from the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival. In 2011, he was one of twelve semi-finalists to compete in the IIYM International Piano Competition, one of the highest ranked pre-college musical institutes in the world.

Some of his previous esteemed instructors include Scott McBride Smith, Carol Ross, and Leonard Richter. Luke has also participated in multiple masterclasses with artists such as Logan Skelton, Adam Gyorgy, and John Perry.
