We are delighted to welcome back Ivan Berkowitz & Luke Segreto with their brand-new 'Ritmo EP' to ICONYC Noir. The talented duo has been a well-known entity within the progressive scene and have graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. The duo developed an inimitable style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where they are to today and embodies the sound they now personify. People regularly equate their productions as impervious and vivid in equal measures.

On their collaboration debut the duo leads with the outstanding opening title track 'Ritmo'; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying track 'Infinite' rounds off this spectacular release. Ivan & Luke's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a subtle vocal that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Ivan Berkowitz & Luke Segreto's collaboration debut outing on ICONYC Noir, they take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. We welcome non other than Andrea Cassino with a classy rendition of Cosmic; which hits all the right chords from the word go. Andrea's deep entry merged the roomy glowing drive, filtered stabs and stunning groove which beautifully led into a drop full of tension and excitement, while the understated yet driving bassline and layered drums power the groove along. He manages to keep the energy up, allowing the driving melodic house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. Essential stuff from Andrea!

The track curation by Karen is spectacular here for Andy Skinner's awesome mix. It's continues her signature sound of showcasing mostly under-appreciated gems for Bird's Ear View audience as established in the first 6 episodes since the show's 2019 debut.

Continuing the show's tradition of collaborating with the finest in Guest DJs, we introduce Andy Skinner to our audience. Andy is a global radio pro but better yet it's his unique vision and depth in mixing Progressive House music that made him such an attractive DJ for our show.  Our previous Guest DJ Harley Beretta did 3 phenomenal efforts for Bird's Ear View, so Andy had tough shoes to fill. Well he came through and put his own impressive stamp on the show by unleashing an array of world-class blends. This was a true collab also in that Andy sequenced Karen's tracks to his liking and comfort level.

Time for some melodic techno vibes!  This release draws on more of the dark and moody side I've been exploring and is a little darker than the last couple releases.  Have some more tracks I've been working on in a similar vein so I hope you enjoy this one!

Luke Segreto is a US-based electronic music producer with roots spanning across over a decade of genre experimentation and sound refinement. Melding inspiration from his early childhood influences of New Wave, Hip Hop, Dubstep, and just about everything in between - Luke has now crafted his signature sound firmly in the ethereal and ever-evolving world of deep progressive.

His music seeks to bring about a marriage between senses of floating melody and driving, underground grooves. Richly deployed synths, driving basslines, and delicately heart-pounding percussion adorn the world that Luke has crafted within his music.
