This is my contest winning entry for The Womp's DJ contest 2024.

I made this mix with day time/early evening grooves in mind. The sort of time when you can sit with a bevvy or a smoke and nod your head or get up on the dancefloor and shake your booty!

I had a great time picking these tracks out and putting together a mix that I hope you all groove away to!

Another amazing WoodStove Festival in Cumberland, BC. 2024 saw 24 DJ's come togther over 3 nights at the CUB Space. Friday was an all female DJ lineup and the ladies killed it. I played the 10-11pm slot Saturday which was Silent Disco format. Thanks to amazing crowd that kept the vibe high! Thanks to @marcgerrard for all the organizing, all the volunteers and fellow DJ's.

I first heard of Miguel Migs music through Naked Music back in my vinyl days and was pretty much hooked. I started collecting many of his singles and remixes from my local record shop (at the time) via labels like NRK, OM & Transport Records.

To me, Miguel Migs has mastered the art of "balance" with his unique lush warm soundscapes, deep & soulful rhythms, live instrumentation, electronic sounds & reggae sound system influences. His music perfectly translates into lounge bars, smokey underground clubs right through to main stage festivals. 

I hope you enjoy the journey through his music. I certainly enjoyed mixing this lengthy set on the 1s & 2s.
