Utopia, 19-21 Uhr. 3000 Grad und es wurde noch heißer.

“WELCOME HOME” steht am Eingang zum 3000 Grad Gelände. Ich war vorher noch nie da, aber genau so hat es sich angefühlt. Warme, lächelnde Gesichter, wohin man schaut, empfangende Arme - ob beim Artist Care oder in der tanzenden Crowd. Dass ich später auf einer Bühne namens “Utopia” spielen sollte, erschien mir plötzlich sehr selbsterklärend. 

Dieses Set unterscheidet sich musikalisch ein wenig zu dem, wie ich in letzter Zeit sonst gespielt habe - die noch sonnengetränkte, abendliche Stimmung in den Sonnenuntergang hinein hat meine deep-darke Bounciness mit ein paar beschwingten und fröhlicheren Basswellen und Discoschwüngen anreichern lassen. Die Energie, die in der Mitte des Sets bei der Beethoven Sinfonie aufkam, werd ich nie vergessen. Too bad, dass der werte Herr Komponist das nicht mehr selbst miterleben durfte :D .

WOW, 3000 Grad. Danke! Ich hoffe sehr, ich darf wiederkommen. 

Besonderer Dank gilt @hansfaehrmann für die Einladung und das Vertrauen und @reyneke, der meine Intro/Outro-Schnapsidee mit seiner Kreativität wieder mal zum Brillieren gebracht und mir dieses eigens für mein 3000 Grad Debut erschaffene Stück gewidmet hat. <3

I still don’t have any words for this incredible energy and vibe at KaterBlau on Monday evening. It felt like the Acid Bogen was on fireee!
Thanks to all the great people who’ve been there and contributed to this very unique moment. Also to all my friends who came to support - I love you big time! 
And of course a huge thank you to @caleesi and @sarahkreis for inviting me, letting me play before you and for throwing such a super great party!

Anbei noch seine Stellungnahme zu unseren Fragen, in der er die ein oder andere Anekdote preisgibt... 

Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein
musikalischer Hintergrund?

Auch wenn mir Musik schon immer super wichtig war und es kaum Momente gab und gibt, in denen keine Musik bei mir läuft, war ich laaaaange zufrieden mit der Rolle als Konsument und Tänzer. Doch dann kam eben die Pandemie und es war bekanntlich
Sense mit Tanzen. Also hab ich mir einen alten Controller meines damaligen Mitbewohners geschnappt und wollte so die Zeit überbrücken, bis Clubs und Festivals wieder öffnen. Vor Menschen damit stehen? Nicht mein Ding, dachte ich. Aber viele
Freund*innen haben nicht locker gelassen und so kam erst das kollektiv runter zustande. Darauf folgte dann der Einstieg bei der Kammerflimmern-Partyreihe hier in Münster und auf einmal ist viel los. Zu meinen Einflüssen gehören seit Anfang an der deepe Sound von Caleesi & Sarah Kreis sowie Kahl & Kaemena. Was das Storytelling angeht, habe ich sehr viele Sets von MaKa und El Batos gehört. Inzwischen arbeite ich mich auch ins Produzieren hinein und
bekomme dort viel Unterstützung von meinem Kammerflimmern Buddy bisu, von Julian von Gazel und Dramasquad.

Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?
Auf jeden Fall die Menschen! Für mich ist eine Afterhour schon ein intimer Raum, bei dem von Schwachsinn plappern bis kuscheln alles dabei sein darf. Aber das geht einfach in voller Blüte für mich nur mit vertrauten Menschen. Dazu guter Sound und meine Hündin Else, die Kuschelexpertin.

Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?
Das war schon ein verrücktes Erlebnis. Die Hilde ist für mich ein sehr besonderer Ort. Vor 5 Jahren habe ich mich dort in Downtempo verliebt, hatte intensive Begegnungen mit anderen Menschen und mit mir selbst. Dieses Jahr habe ich dann beim Aufbau geholfen,
was schon ein total tolles Erlebnis war. Dann kam der Freitag und der liebe Jorma spielte grad sein wundervolles Opening, als es
um 17 Uhr hieß: es fällt wer aus, du spielst heut Nacht um 3 Uhr! Prime time - auf der Hilde! Wow! Danach folgten 10 Stunde pure Nervosität, gepaart mit etwas Vorbereitung. Aufgrund der Kürze der Zeit ist das Set dann ein schöner Mix geworden aus Tracks, die ich schon öfter gespielt habe, und ein paar Neuentdeckungen der letzten Wochen. Zwar habe ich mich die erste Stunde lang nicht getraut, nach oben zu schauen. Doch meine Friends* in der ersten Reihen haben mir ein gutes Gefühl gegeben. Als ich mich dann endlich mal getraut habe, den Blick nach oben zu nehmen, war ich echt einfach
überwältigt. So eine tolle Energie, die Menschen waren komplett versunken in der Musik. Ich bin noch immer überglücklich und kneife mich mittlerweile nur noch etwa 3 Mal pro Tag, um das alles zu realisieren.

This is the recording of my Acidbogen debut, Saturday 28. Oct, 6-8 am.

A special one for me. Not only because of having been able to play on this boiling floor full of old and new smiling faces surrounding me, creating that kind of atmosphere that I absolutely love when playing (people in front, next, behind and -it felt like - on top of me). But moreover because of being able to play before @ninze & @niju-1, whose music has brought me one of the first otherworldly emotional downtempo experiences I have ever had. That was years ago. Ever since, I admired their musical craft. Fast forward. 

Meanwhile, my own artistic identity has evolved and I can read my name next to those who, among many others over time, have inspired me in the very beginning. Thank you @talderverwirrung, especially @ju_nixe, for giving me this opportunity!

The request came kind of short term and my first impulse was that it would be too much, playing twice on an already packed weekend and having to deal with grief over the recent loss of a very special person in my life. A person, whom I connect my very early musical memories with. 
However, some inner voice told me to turn on the "full power mode" and so I got things settled and decided to let my intuition guide me through the musical journey. And it did! 
I hope you enjoy my truly emotionally mixed expedition into spheres of grief and sadness, anger and vulnerability, but also cheerfulness and peace, at last.
This one is for you. 🕊️

(Story continued from Witchtape #35)
On a full moon day, the little witch attended the very first coven of her whole life, in the company of two elder witches.  It had been such an intense day filled with mystic ceremonies, that she didn’t notice the sun going down and the light slowly fading.  At that moment, the eldest witch showed the way to a nearby small hill.  On the top of the mound, they found 3 small rocks with a worn-out flat top surface.  The 3 women took a seat on the rocks and the young girl sensed that these rock-chairs were already being used for centuries.  They watched in silence as the sun turned red and slowly disappeared behind the horizon.  At that point the old witch pointed into the other direction, and they all watched the breathtaking spectacle of the full moon rising gloriously above the south-eastern sky, while a couple of little bats were circling swiftly above their heads.  The young girl had never seen such a beautiful moon, brighter and more yellow than she had ever seen before while the planet mars was shining brightly in the southern sky with an unusually intense red hue.  After gazing at the sky for a few minutes and being completely absorbed by this celestial spectacle, the novice looked at the 2 other witches and to her surprise they were looking at her instead of observing the moon… and they smiled tenderly.  The youngest witch became a bit shy when she noticed all this attention, while at the same time she sensed that the elder witches were thinking back at their own first night at this very spot.  After this brief intermezzo, the 3 women resumed their observation of the moon.  For a few seconds, the full moon disappeared behind a small cloud.  And just at that moment, a small glowing ball appeared, just a few centimeters across and floating in the air.  If the witches would have stretched out their arms, they would have been able to touch it.  But just at that moment, the moon appeared again in the sky and the little ball disappeared into thin air.  A few minutes later another cloud obscured the moon and the little ball appeared again, bigger than the first time and looking like an exact copy of the moon, with the same soft yellow color.  While the young witch looked at it with big eyes, the old witch stretched out her arm, with the tip of her fingers just a few inches away from the glowing little moon.  The little witch did the same and held her open hands around the glowing object without touching it.  The girl had never felt anything like that before, it was a surprisingly pleasant tingling feeling while her hands captured the subtle energy of the floating object.  The girl felt how the energy gradually became stronger and at one point the symbols on the palms of her hands (which the other witches had painted on her body earlier that day) started to glow in the same soft yellow hue as the moon itself.  And the energy kept on spreading as the symbols on her arms and shoulders started to glow too, and finally all the mystic symbols all over her body started to glow, even the ones on her feet.  Strangely, not all symbols lighted up in yellow as some of them had a faint red glow, just like the planet mars which accompanied the moon on that night…
