Another year draws to close and its been another strange one by all accounts. This month we welcome JBERR, an artist ventured upon back in the summer for the final episode of 2021.

JBERR is the outlet for Melbourne-based Jack Berryman's delicately crafted low-fidelity vignettes and stripped-back Antipodean techno sketches. Drawing on decades of home-studio R&D, and an observational outlook soundtracked by experimental composition, 90s hip hop, dub, house and the techno spectrum, the project seeks to set free some of the more fully formed ideas cooked up over the past few years.

Jack has put together a selection of his own music for a 45 minute mix that closes out the last episode of '21 in his own deep electronic style. Thanks Jack

Whilst hosting monthly residencies on both Aaja Deptford and Empty Plate Radio where he explores a range of sounds and styles within Dance Music, Parallel also runs the mix series/events company straight out of SE London, Underspun Collective. Underspun hosts an array of both South London residents and underground artists from across the globe. His production is ever-evolving but has a tendency towards upbeat driving tracks, often with flavours of Italo, trance and synth-pop.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
