Farewells Are Sudden

So this is a track I've been working on for quite sometime, and its not for the faint of heart. Some backstory behind some of the elements I used; the track begins with a drone, but incorporates tones in just tuning combined with equal temperament, tuned to play a binaural frequency at 7.5 Hz as a difference tone. This is sustained throughout the track and is supposed to act as a theta wave, which increases musical creativity and relaxation in the brain. Another major element in the track is the Chant of the Templar, Salve Regina. This is a late medieval chant that was sung in glorification to the monarch. The most haunting element in the track is the auditory hallucinations. I did some research on schizophrenia, as well as hallucinogenic drugs and found that auditory hallucinations are quite jarring and the insults that are heard are very upsetting to listen to. The track also uses some more morbid sounds like the infamous "death rattle" and "dry drowning", and even a discussion about stock prices of coffee. There is an Egyptian rebel, babies crying and laughing, dogs barking, heartbeats, all manipulated and modulated throughout the piece, it concludes with a music box medley and more hallucinations. This track was inspired by a whole bunch of things, and its morbidity is really the beauty of it, it turned out to be quite haunting.
