Psychic Liberation proudly presents Acid For Babies, the latest full-length from Mexico-based artist Ñaka Ñaka (AKA Jeronimo Jimenez). Acid For Babies is a glistening invitation to an environment of minimal complexities. Its textures and repetition were fine-tuned to soothe or delight a baby’s ear — specifically, that of his new daughter. “No babies were exploited in the making of this album,” Jimenez notes.

This record marks the first release Ñaka Ñaka — Jimenez’s club music alias — has contributed to the Psychic Liberation discography. The playful, unassuming tracks are one-take tape recordings from hardware instruments. The album is bookended with an interpretation of Raymond Scott's little-known final composition: a piece for MIDI titled "Beautiful Little Butterfly."

Jeronimo Jimenez is a Mexican musician best known for his stage name Ñaka Ñaka. In 2011 he self-released his first EP, El Pequeño Edgar, and began playing extensively throughout Mexico City’s underground. The following year he moved to New York, where he performed regularly and recorded albums for local labels like Bánh Mì Verlag as well as foreign outposts such as Opal Tapes and its offshoot Black Opal. He founded his own label, Pauf Recordings Ltd., and launched his new moniker Jero Route 66 following a whirlwind eight-day tour of eight countries across Europe with die Riehe in 2016.

He soon became a regular performer and collaborator at Far Rockaway, NY’s legendary experimental music venue Red Light District. After nearly a decade in New York and a brief one year stint in Buenos Aires, he moved back to Mexico, where he currently resides with his wife and daughter.

Incipientium is a rather new Gothenburg-based one man project who is succeeding to dive deep into some kind of rusty, unwell ambient sound. There are connections to stuff like Organum and Jeph Jerman but he has a unique voice, and is a much needed injection in the Swedish scene. Negativity as positive energy. This is the second album by Incipientium, the first one partly being a reissue of a super limited CDR. So this might be considered as a debut album to you who like stuff like that.

Yeah You are not a band but a living surrealist art project. After releasing a series of recordings that seemed to display natural progression in their provocatively de-ventilated style, the degenerate truth is back and writhing.

This non-album is not a statement it is a question. How to produce something without it becoming a commodity as soon as it hits the ground? Keeping the message porous by biting the tongue of the messenger and relegating all possible selling points.

In the most base insipid fashion we have tried to embody the writhing invalid smiling within it’s infrastructure of self-polishing crutches, a pushchair of networks that enables it to fane a solipsistic optimum. It is only when the macbook is fucked and the social life is stripped, that two generations of the same confused organism turn to the dregs of existential autonomy. Revert to the material we are left with when all advisable being-regimes have been plucked, which here happens to be a Casio keyboard, a dictaphone and a microphone.

Throning regression, the first wretch is unearthed: The palimpsestic undercarriage of KRUTCH: emblems of an uncouth praxis. This is the worst album Yeah You has ever made and captures most indiscreetly the rotting essence of the duo’s proliferation.
