Music. The universal language. It's the one thing that can evoke a feeling so unexplainable that it becomes an obsession and a necessity. Without any words, pictures, smells, or explanations it can make you feel, it can change your day, it can make you smile, it can make you cry … music should make you feel something, shouldn’t it? The 3rd episode of my Yin & Yang Balance mix series is the first of the series that sits somewhere between the Yin and the Yang. It focuses on combining different feelings, hence the name “The Merge Mix.” The series’ goal is to provide music that isn’t always exactly the same, but rather explore the many sounds and reaches of house, techno, love, and emotions. And that's what Leipzig/Germany based Marcel Sterling alias Marc DePulse wants to tell us with his releases and podcasts: there is no box into which you must fit in because you are free in your mind to do whatever you love. Being real, being authentic, being a full time music lover. That means: go to bed and wake up with only music in your head.

Whoever shed some tears while listening to emotional music can relate to what Marc is trying to achieve. It has to be “music to remember” and make a big impact. And that could be a melody, a baseline, steady percussion or strong vocals. Marc has already connected a lot of that love with his music. In more than a decade represented by the strongest labels (150+ releases) and performing on the biggest international stages, Marc has established as a unique producer and DJ.

After releases and remixes on Noir Music, Traum Schallplatten, Definition:Music, Katermukke, Selador – just to name a few – Marc is currently working on his second artist album which will be released in 2017 on his homebase label Einmusika Recordings.

According to his own productions, Marc is running the rising label JEAHMON! Records and opened another platform for the artists origins. “How I Met The Bass” is a storyteller podcast project which became a big brand yet."

Es gibt einen Ort im Weltraum, der wahrscheinlich bei der Eroberung der unendlichen Weiten zum Touristenziel schlechthin wird. Dieser Platz wird auf ewig mit den Worten „That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind“ in Verbindung gebracht werden. Der Landeplatz der Apollo 11-Astronauten im „Mare Tranquillitatis“, wo Neil Armstrongs „kleiner Schritt“ deutlich machte, dass Menschen in der Lage sind alle Hindernisse zu überwinden.
Besonders farbig ist die helle Mondoberfläche nicht, aber die Landschaft wirkt dennoch atemberaubend, da sie einen krassen Kontrast zum tiefschwarzen Weltraum darstellt. Der Mond besitzt somit eine ganz eigene Schönheit, die mit unseren irdischen Maßstäben nicht beschrieben werden kann. Mit wenig Reizen wird hier ganz viel erschaffen. Ein faszinierender Platz an dem für Äonen „Eindrücke“ der Geschichte bewahrt werden, bis sie von uns wieder entdeckt werden. Ein Hort der Ruhe und des Friedens.
Damit wir nicht noch Jahre Sehnsüchtig auf die Rückkehr zu diesem zauberhaften Ort warten müssen, hat Maikind für uns die Atmosphäre dort mit seiner deep story eingefangen und für uns alle eine mental-musikalische Tranquility base geschaffen. Hier können wir uns fallen lassen, um von seiner Musik aufgefangen zu werden.

Much of Van Did's music tells an adventure story arced over warping rhythms, minimalist classical touches and documentary-like vocals, often reflecting environmental themes. After releasing more than 20 original tracks and elaborate remixes on several labels including Germany's Traum Schallplatten, he created his own in 2011: Grrreat Recordings, geared to explorations of immersive sound landscapes, field recordings, textured sound design and techniques for signal processing. Three years in the making, his newest release, Avenir plays on themes of horizon, future and perspective, launching the melodic and colourful club style of Montréal event-maker and collective, 8day's label.
