If you grew up in Nairobi like me you were probably born only one or two generations after poverty. Likewise, if you grew up in Nairobi like me you've probably seen the best and worst of both worlds on a daily basis. 
From the Joneses to the Kamaus, the big bonuses to the regular wadaus. 
A city poised precariously between obnoxious opulence and heartbreaking hardships. 
Most people in Nairobi are one life-changing emergency away from slipping back to indigence,
