Well, there she stood, all proud and grown up
It was her day.. Her moment in time
Surrounded by loyalty and just swimming in worship
Yet, in her heart, she was left wanting

The weeping was so terrible
...And they did come
Her ladies in waiting
The queen and kingdom
Oh, how they pled "please dry your eyes..
All pain will pass, in due time"
Her father had not returned
But in his absence, they fervently doted on her

One came hauling an enormous diamond
"Is it what you wanted?"
"No"
"That's just fine... then I'll take it back"
Then two scurried forth, from the shade
With the moon
"Is this what you wanted?"
"No"
"That's alright... then we'll put it back"
Then three came, from the sky
With a world to call her own
"It is what you wanted?"
"No"
"Acceptable
We will take it back"
Then four fell to their knees
With a beautiful song to sing
"Is this what you wanted?"
"No"
"That's alright... we take it back"

Then the doors flung open wide
The wind and snow ushered something inside
As silence fell upon them all
The figure, bound in tattered cloth
Knelt down and removed his hood
He came home, as she prayed he would
He kept his tears the best he could
She ran to him
He held her close and she bellowed
"My dear.." He said
"Look here" He said
Then he brought, from behind his back
Five white orchids, wrapped in rags
"For you..
Is it what you wanted?"

Bled, From the Balcony

Help me look down on the life below
My heart skips its final beat
Peeling skin to pass the time
Soon to start on mine

There’s nothing like death to make us numb
The visuals will surely come
…and then some
Hands erased what eyes could not
So close your little eyes and rot

Red reflections form and glisten
Listen…
For infection sings lullabies to help us find
Larvae for the meat

Slashes to ashes, lust to dust
Lay me down and chew me up
Show me how to feel disgust
Show me how to love

Twist the mirror, take aback, wonder what you might have had
Heal yourself before you’re forced to speak your words in an epitaph

(Dear God… would you…) 
Help me look up at the death above?
All I knew was how to come down on you
It was all I could do to make you cry
But you would only grin

I thought I had lost my mind
But you taught me what true madness is
…which we preserve for our sole purposes
Just let me die, this night

Memories kept for sake of recalling moments of hate
(to never let the storm dissipate)

Bled From The Balcony

If Roses Were Me 

My unnerving visage is best kept in the darkest corners of my dwelling
(I’m) Patiently waiting- The moonlight passes a far lesser judgment
Accepting my flaws and cradling my insecurities
Guiding me, wholeheartedly, to the windows and balconies 
Of the beauties I so admire
I would kill, just to be there
To run my fingers through their hair
To bid them goodnight and to be the target of their candlelight 
A fleeting dream with viridian eyes
Every bit as charming as a devil in disguise

But I’ll keep him inside, so none may know his rage
How he ruins lives, for the joy of causing pain
Cleaving through the sheets, a true breaker of hearts
Down on their knees, do soul and body part
Crimson rivers run, ‘til swallowed by the ground
The skin is undone and the lovers are never found
He tells me so, that he’d kill to be there
Outside their window, with innocence to spare
He plays the victim 
He says they do lead him into temptation 
That he suffers them
If he had his way, he’d remain hidden
Die and decay, devoid of remembrance

And so, while he sleeps
While he hibernates deep down beneath
...An ode to their elegance, from your's truly

If roses were me and violets were you…
I’d give all of my red, for a drop of your blue
For you- at very least, divine
From you- a moment of your time
Into your all encompassing light
Where I would forevermore reside 
  Your voice, a miracle to my ears
Angelic and ever so sincere
I stand at the pinnacle of my meager life
Basking in the glow of those eyes

If I could be, I’d be the skin embracing you
Enveloping your flesh, as darkness doth the moon
I can never seem to get close enough
Because he always fouls it up
I only wish to profess my love
But he’s bound to interrupt

“You are so weak- and it sickens me
There is but one truth- that a whore deserves to bleed
But you would stand right back and let her corrupt your soul
For one to claim your heart, she first must carve a hole”

You’ll never understand
 You ruin everything
One by one, you took them all from me
I hate you- “I protect you”
I don’t need you- “I’ll dissect you
I’ll open you up, and just like me, you’ll make the cut”

Prithee, may I take this chance to deepen this romance?

I did the best I could

If Roses Were Me

 As We Reach for the Light 

After the great descent, there was only darkness, suffocation and abandonment
Hundreds of silent screams, amongst a thousand hopes; fading
As teardrops fell above us
A thumping, not so distant but it was not close enough
And for a long time, the silence kept us
And the warmth would sometimes come to us
While strangers passed in vermiform, and uttered not a word
Unaware of our existence
The Earth, hollow in their wake
Some of us, the gods did take
Snatched and dragged up to our graves
And again, the silence kept us
Cradling us, up 'til the very moment that 
The walls cracked and the cage collapsed
Bursting forth, we began following the sense of warmth
Tasting of the tears
And thrusting upward and pushing to purgatory
Clinging to dear life and reaching for the other side
Sprawling out, with all of our might
Crawling throughout yet trapped inside
Then the heavens caved in 
And the warmth did pour down upon us
The suffocation subsided and the darkness was gone
Up above, the elders swayed as if to welcome
They kept us hidden and safe
And kept us out of harm’s way
As we reach for the light
As we, within the Earth, entwine
We take our boughs to the sky
(Becoming the very breath of life)
