Brazilian breed Luciah Barbosa Aguiar, born in 1984, is also known as Brazilian DJ LULXIA. For the past 15 years she's been stirring up the electronic music scene little by little. The international kick-off was in 2008 at the Byllas Club in Bari, Italy. After dazzling "Bella Italia" she made a move to picturesque Lisbon where she settled for another four inspiring years. Soon LULXIA found her way to entertain the Lisbon crowd on a regular basis with her music by accepting to become a resident DJ of a well-known night club named Club Souk. Other Lisbon-based nightclubs, like OpArt and Europa, followed the lead and invited LULXIA to mix up their dance floors too.
Back in Brazil she took an active part in presenting her art at the Rio Music Conference held in the city of Campos, Rio de Janeiro.
Her drive for electronic music events led her to create a party label to stir up her hometown's electronic scene. Her party label Music Box intended to bring new musical insights while staging fresh cultural mixes and contributing her share to changing Brazilian paradigms regarding electronic music.
Her strong basslines with minimalist twists have reached ears in distant places like Dubai or Buenos Aires. To the point that she also produced her first track "This feeling" with the label Hush Recordz. If she'd be to name artists that shaped her musical taste the list would be quite long. Very long. But one thing's clear: Techno is her preferred musical genre. Whereas Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Perc, Amelie Lens, Pan-Pot, Len Faki, Nicole Moudaber, Renato Cohen, could somewhat be understood as her gurus when coming down to creativity and musical taste.
Her latest appearances have been at nightclubs like Fosfobox and Boiler, in Brazil. LULXIA also holds a new DJ residency with DEEPDIZCO, a party label set between Rio and Italy and brought along with her to Buenos Aires, where she currently lives, her party label Music Box.
