Somebody on SC said this song is "linear". Linear music is a music track that starts and plays until it reaches it's end. Examples of "non-linear" music are every song you hear on the radio, or any film score.  For sure this isn't a "radio song" ...but it has energy, direction, texture, interesting production techniques, full synth sounds.... and a build in dynamics and spirit as it moves. I like to appreciate music - of any genre - with a simple criteria - does it have passion, sincerity and somehow communicate a feeling? 'Rise" absolutely does this. That's what good music is about! Thanks.

The Australian aboriginal dreamtime has always fascinated me since I was a child and I was thinking of that as I composed this tune, although its not specifically about the dreamtime, but more about my own experience of dreaming, which somehow intersects with the dreamtime stories in my mind. The sounds of a didgeridoo come in at certain points. The voice samples are reminiscent of ancient chanting to me.

This is actually the second track I ever produced, made about 2 years ago.
