We're happy to add the sixth edition of Surge Curated to our collection. This time, we bring you a vibrant summer mix crafted by Surge core member LUME. In this podcast, LUME explores the realms of house and melodic electronic music, creating an uplifting and moving listening experience.

With roots in Munich and now flourishing in the
electronic music scenes of Innsbruck, he is an integral member of Surge and  the “FACETS“ collective from Augsburg. In 2023 he also launched his own event series: “PUBLIC ECSTASY“ in Innsbruck, showcasing his musical vision.

Inspired by a deep love for the music of the 90s, LUME has embarked on a musical journey that fuses various genres into a cohesive soundscape. His music represents layered techno infused with Breakbeat, IDM-inspired sounds, Ambiente and Electro, while trying to capture the innovative essence of 90s electronic music. The German artist's ever-evolving sonic signature shifts genres and perspectives, always celebrating the rich diversity of electronic
music to create a dynamic listening experience.

For this set, I wanted to take a new approach and explore a soundscape I’ve never shared publicly before. It blends Trip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Ambient, Glitch, and IDM into a journey across tempos and moods. The mix combines some of my favorite recent finds with long-time classics that I hold close to my heart – presenting another facet of my musical identity.
