Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to Kazakhstan. Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more focused energies — drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity, rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures. From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets — especially long-form closings — encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental. She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new territory without compromise — even as the context around her evolves. As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira—a platform shaped by their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in sound that speaks for itself. Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.

"I recorded this mix ahead of my set at Detect Classic Festival 2025, and it’s a good snapshot of where I’m at musically right now. It’s deep, hypnotic, groove-driven — somewhere between movement and atmosphere. Even though it’s a podcast, these are all tracks I’d absolutely play in a club or at a festival. They just have that extra layer that works in both contexts: headphones and dance floors. Artists like Donato Dozzy, Maōh, Inox Traxx, Blazej Malinowski, Rene Wise... — stuff that builds tension, holds a pulse, and doesn’t rush to get anywhere too fast. French DJ and producer based in Berlin, Temple Tears is a project born in 2014 during a night at Burning Man. After ten years of international touring under another alias, the electronic music veteran made an artistic shift towards sharp Indie Dance, infused with Electro sounds and Deep Tech rhythms.In 2025, he released an EP on Stil vor Talent, Oliver Koletzki’s label, reaching Top 2 Indie Dance on Beatport.He also revived his label GURU Recordings, releasing three new tracks since the beginning of the year.A regular on European festival stages, he has performed at Fusion Festival, Distortion, Wildeburg, Château Perché, Innervisions, Bucht der Träumer, Okami, Moyn Festival, and more — driven by a clear direction: direct, groovy music designed for the dancefloor.
