LUMERTZ @ LEKTRONIC Show on Kiss FM | March 2023

Hard work can pay off. Just ask Elisa Bee. The Sardinian producer and DJ has been working diligently since 2007, exploring and then refining a style of techno that has that rare, hard-to-put-your-finger-on quality: a soulful reverence, paying homage to the old days and the originators without just copying them. She struck it (relatively) big with an EP on Unknown To The Unknown in 2019 and has since become a fixture on labels like Hardgroove, Symbiosis and Balkan Vinyl, imprints that specialize in a kind of meat-and-potatoes techno that underlines both the fundamentals and subtle innovation. She's also a resident at Milan's Tempio Del Futuro Perduto, which she talks about at length in the interview below.

Now, in 2023, Elisa Bee is part of a vanguard of younger techno producers who carry the flag for the '90s without resorting to pastiche or the bigger-is-better aesthetic of much of the rest of the contemporary European techno landscape. Her RA Podcast is as buttery smooth as it is propulsive, flying through tracks from like-minded artists like Austin Ato, Nocow and Black Girl/White Girl. Sleek, vintage and futuristic all at once.

Next up on the Rave Government Mix Series we have LUMERTZ.

LUMERTZ is a Brazilian DJ and producer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. His music style is built on top of percussive grooves and hypnotic synths inspired by classic Detroit and Berlin Techno. With presentations couched by an intense and energetic rhythm, LUMERTZ guides the dance floor on an intense trip full of looped sounds that aim to awaken the crowd's deepest feelings.

During his trajectory, LUMERTZ has been conquering his space not only in the Australian scene but also started to project his name out in the world by building a solid name for himself through his songs. Proof of that can be seen by the support in festivals and clubs like Awakenings, DGTL, Hör, Sonus, Monegro, Neopop, Watergate, Space Miami and by artists such as Richie Hawtin, Juliet Fox, Sama' Abdulhadi, Lea Occhi, Anika Kunst, Justine Perry, Alex Stein and many more. In 2023, after a  'rebranding' period for self development as a producer, he started to release his songs again with a new strong identity. Starting the year with a release on  'Noise Music', the oldest and one of the biggest Brazilian Techno labels, followed by one on 'Tronic', one of the most iconic and important Techno labels in the world.

With no doubt LUMERTZ can be seen consolidating his steps in the world's music scene and presenting himself as a name to be kept in mind of the new generation of Techno artists.

RG Mix Series #19 - LUMERTZ

Brasilian Arthur Maccari debuts on Solid Tracks with a 4-track e.p., The Looming Crisis, featuring 3 original tracks and a remix from Berlin-based ogtrues.

Starting off with Inspection Chamber, Maccari's sound is centered around driving rhythms and rolling basslines with edgy synth stabs layered on top, setting the tone for the rest of the e.p. Next up, ogtrues ups the tempo and delivers a deeper and minimal rendition of Inspection Chamber. Moving to the title track, The Looming Crisis, which uses a captivating vocal hook over funkier tones, making it perfect dancefloor material. Ending with This is Not a Rehearsal, a track co-produced with Melbourne's Lumertz, both artists delve into a darker, hypnotic groove that will get heads turning.
