Unofficial Edit I made for the amazing track created by Feathered Sun & Nicola Cruz. The approach to this was quite simple: when I discovered this gem I didn't feel the track had to be re-arranged or re-shaped in a complex way. I simply edited the original remix by cutting a few sections and I added a pulsing kick to match the energy of my dj-sets. I've been playing this bootleg for a while now and I think it's time to share it. I'm so in love with the original track that I had to include it in my selection.
Congratulations to Feathered Sun & Nicola Cruz for sharing their work. Their discography is incredibly inspiring.

On The Magic Movements latest trick, Xique-Xique from Sao Paulo paints a psychedelic panorama of the mysterious world of Amazonia, full of waterfalls, bellicose woman, and an endless flora & fauna. By combining brazilian rhythms with elements of techno, dubby house and plenty of bird sounds they create a unique bunch of vivid slow jams to get lost in.
Beeing already a classic in the infamous circles, „Xaxoeira“ is finally available on vinyl! This vibey masterpiece is the straightest of the bunch, a proper slow-mo House tune, with a dark flute sample and a broken organ that grinds its way into the deepest corners of your brain.
Nicola Cruz delivers a superb remix of „Xaxoeira“ which adds rolling percussions and delay madness to the original material.

Press: It's been around three years since JPattersson opened up a whole new horizon of formerly unheard possibilities between the worlds of Dub and Techno. A lot has been happening ever since, and that’s very noticeable on his second album. It still has all the signature elements of JPattersson: There's his dreamy, virtuous trumpet play and his witty vocals, there's his dubby delays and heavyweight beats which often line up in a Downbeat rhythm. However, besides his fanfares there's now also many folks, many musical friends who contribute to the vibe of this album. There's a track with Berlin MC Longfingah, latin-flavoured rhythms from Polish Reggae and Dancehall producer Dreadsquad as well as a stylistically wide range of remixes that reflect the symbiotic cooperation and mutual inspiration of these last years.

Excited to announce The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, which is an innovative collaboration that melds music with journalism. I’ve enjoyed being a part of this project with @ian_urbina.

My upcoming release “No Oceans Unturned” inspired by his book “The Outlaw Ocean” is out now everywhere: theoutlawoceanmusic.com 

I want my music to convey a more serious tone to reflect the consequences of lawlessness at sea. I want my music to complement the book's darker, melancholy moods. Interestingly, however, the chapter that resonated with me the most was “The Rusty Kingdom.” This chapter’s central topic of one family declaring its own country in the sea, Sealand, was in itself silly and playful, which I appreciate. The chapter highlights the absurdity of the issue while revealing the various social and economic consequences that arise when no legal authority exists to police these sorts of stories.  
 
Because this book opened my eyes to the “anything goes” mindset of The Outlaw Ocean, I want each of my tracks in the EP to mirror the desire for more awareness and enforcement in international waters.
