The Reverberation Appreciation Society is proud to announce the release of the new Night Beats record, Sonic Bloom on September 24, 2013 on vinyl, cd, digital download and cassette (co-release with Burger Records!). In conjunction with the announcement, Night Beats are debuting their new track "Outta Mind" off Sonic Bloom, available for posting HERE.

Recorded in a Tacoma, Washington warehouse, Sonic Bloom is an explosion of reverb soaked rock and soul blended with sharp drone numbers and classic rhythm-and-blues founded tracks. From the haunting psychic groove of 'Seven Poison Wonders' to the sparse Zombies influenced 'Playing Dead' to the squealing ruckus of 'Rat King', Sonic Bloom harkens back to the outer corners of rock and roll radio of yore.

The Seattle-based band have spent past few years relentlessly touring, hitting over 20 countries. The trio -- featuring Danny Lee Blackwell on guitar/vocals, Tarek Wegner on bass/vocals, and James Traeger on drums/vocals -- will keep up this pace, touring this fall in support of Sonic Bloom.

Night Beats - Outta Mind

I wrote this song as part of the New Love Campaign in 2009. In this campaign I teamed up with artist Lara Kruger and actress Esther von Waltzleben to present workshops using music, art and drama to address sensitive cultural perceptions that contribute to gender violence in communities. This song was the theme song of the campaign and was recorded with the farm community choir from Bellevue Wine Estate.

This song was written and composed by Luna Paige and released as part of her third album, Wonderful life in 2009.

Restless Soul (Wonderful life, 2009)

Luna is a South African singer-songwriter. She has released 4 English albums, 1 Afrikaans live CD & DVD, two Afrikaans singles and a SAMA nominated collaborative album by the name of Korreltjie Kantel with Nick Turner and Jamie Jupiter. Her music has been released on numerous South African compilation albums. After focusing on her production company Iluminar Productions, Luna was excited to release the first two seasons of a whole new series of music in 2021 and 2022.  She released 4 singles as part of the first season (Behold my Heart) in 2021. It was followed by the release of Season 2 (Calm after the storm) in 2022 - which included three singles.  The songs were released on her website www.lunapaige.com with promotional snippets and selected videos featured on YouTube. Paige will start recording two new albums in January 2024. All of her previous recordings will be relaunched online on the 6th of April. This relaunch will also include the official launch of her new English album and her second Afrikaans album. She is also a proud ambassador of NPO (non-profit organization) - The Health Promoters - which aims to break the bonds between poverty and illness in communities such as Langa and Kayamandi (Western Cape, South Africa).  As an ex-social worker, Luna Paige has a keen interest in social impact throught the arts and will be exploring this field whilst travelling and performing in Europe as of April 2024.
