In 1981 the LCO team developed a new way of generating dandelions in the laboratory, by placing subjects in  an isolation tank, under the influence of a variety of psychedelic drugs (some of which were developed by the team themselves) with various sounds being pumped in, mostly processed lunar recordings. 

The newly formed dandelions enter the world in clusters, spewing from the subject's ears, nose and mouth. The experiment was deemed a success and was published in various reputable scientific journals at the time, calling it a breakthrough in dandelion formation technology.

Lunar Cloud Observatory (LCO) was established in 1966,  with the intention of observing and recording audible phenomena, which they discovered were being emitted from specific lunar clouds. 

The first successful tests were carried out in 1971, when 
the team succeeded in observing and recording audible laser pulses reflected from our moon's clouds, using an eyesix ion laser with a millisecond pulse length (developed in the early stages of the project).

Their findings have been documented and released to the public over 40 years later, after much debate.
