I need to make this very clear. I was actually incredibly nervous working on this one. I'm not trying to be hard on myself, but I want to admit to myself that I don't think my rendition of death egg will ever match Joy's version that she did for Sonic & Knuckles Alternate. There is a reason why she is my favorite composer atm and her take on Death Egg is my favorite piece of work that she has ever put out. I know it's not a good thing to compare yourself to others, but in this case, it was really hard not to be intimidated.

I wanted to just give you pure final level energy, the intensity is cranked up to 1000% and the emotion that you feel throughout the song is depressiong yet hopeful. The idea was so big that I had some serious help from 4sythe! Without their help, I wouldn't have been able to get nearly as far on this project as I did! They helped me clean up the song and showed me a few tricks to make it sound even better! Thank you!

Sonic 2 - Chemical Plant Zone (Past)

Well, this is something a little different. I made this a while ago, but I'm putting it up here as the next file I'll be putting up matches the "style", of making one song sound like another.

This is Splash Hill Zone Act 1, from Sonic 4 Episode 1, made to sound like Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic 2. Uses the same instruments and song structure, just because I thought it'd work well with the tune.

While this is using VOPM and such to basically "emulate" the YM2612 and SN76496 chip feel to the song, it does conform to the limitation of music using them, and uses instruments designed for them (from the original Emerald Hill Zone track).

Well, here's a fun mash up. For an SMPS Competition over at the SSRG forums, we had to make a version of the 8-Bit Sonic Spinball's Final Showdown music into a Mega Drive version. I heard it for the first time there, really liked it, and instantly heard this as a possibility.

Of course I had to do it. :> 

A mash up of that tune and Sonic 3's final boss, this was both good fun and a pain in the arse to make. It won the round, though, so enjoy! Take a listen to the others in that round too by registering at the SSRG forums and seeing the SMPS Competition sub-board, as they were all good entries this time.
