The Polish Ambassador - The Tantalizer (Comic Mix)

This tune began as an experiment, composed using a generous helping of diverse self-recorded audio as raw materials. Most of the original recordings were made in different tempos, in different keys, and in different places. Most of them were made with a different song in mind, some with no song in mind at all. As the pieces fell together and my mind filled in the gaps, the undeniable underlying groove began to emerge in all its funky splendor.

This track includes (in a thoroughly rearranged fashion):

Guitar recordings from Steven Polendey in Virginia

Vocal recordings from Emma Staake in Washington

Viola recordings from Zak aka Plantrae in Oregon

Musicbox, chimes, porcelain sounds I recorded in Virginia.

Footsteps, sticks breaking, pine-rustling, and inaudible subliminal whispers I recorded with Kyrstyn Pixton in Oregon (along with a mysterious sizzling sound that was saved on her field recorder's SD card).

Handclaps recorded with my friends Matt, Kaylyn, and Jason.

As well as additional synths, synth bass, electronic drums, arrangement and rearrangement, composition and recomposition, mixing and mastering, and other such assorted geekery by yours truly.

There are so many more recordings in my collection and so many more to be made. I'm looking forward to hearing what comes from future projects like this.

I was really tempted to add this to the growing list of tracks I am selectively hoarding for future releases, but if any of you need a little bit of light in your life like I need a little bit of light in my life, I can only imagine this tune will come in handy for more than just myself.

Chicago-based chillout producer, Edamame, delivers his 14-track album, Bask on Gravitas Recordings. The project is a balmy breeze, warping through feelings of absolute bliss and unadulterated serenity. While the compositions embrace an ambient motif, expressive percussion and graceful melodies weave energy throughout. Fans of CloZee, Bonobo, and Random Rab will resonate with this release.

Setting the tone for the album, “Kishi Kaisei” blends angelic vocals with vivid drums. On “Sable,” Edamame and his Loci Records cohort Tor construct a dreamlike state through atmospheric and hypnotic sounds. The title track “Bask” tides in and out with a soothing bassline, feathered synths, and subtle vocals. “Passim”, which features the illustrious Emancipator, romances the ear drums by way of steelpan, sitar, and rolling percussion that culminates into a sensual outro.

New Year's Love Mash (Friend X Akay)

Hi guys! We are Lunaroha, The combined release of musical love from Matilda Cutler and Karamu Poutama, but you can call us Tilly and Kari :)
 Split between the highlands of Armidale and Mid North Coast, Lunaroha aspire to bend the folk lore of long distance affairs always ending in soapy sadness.
 Most of our songs are passed back and forward via shotty recordings and smoke signals until we found a happily resting song in the midst. As you read this we may well be making new songs so keep your eye to the sky for our messenger birds. 
 Inspired by artists like Tora, Potato Potato, Paper Kites, The XX and Vance joy, we keep our hope to get our music out there alive and well. We hope you love our music as much as we love making it!
