Dorian Gray is the reflective persona of Italian producer and DJ, @morenomariotti, an artist whose comprehension of techno music is a far cry from any conventions. Dorian’s musical craftsmanship is influenced by two core aspects – his interest in astronomy, but also esotericism and mythology. His productions formulate refined deep and ambient atmosphere, cleverly connected to his interests beyond music. Spellbinding rhythms, detailed ambient pads, and intervening acidic loops shape Dorian’s signature sound and provide a clear glance at this artist’s inspirational flow and intricate creative process.

His work appeared on labels such as Illegal Alien, The Gods Planet, Edit Select Records, Substrato and his track “The Night Gate” on Avant-Propos Records was described by MixMag as “eerie and mysterious and the spectral voices that fill out the top end give it a supernatural feeling that is both haunting and alluring“.                            

We are more than happy to present Dorian on our platform with a superb podcast that symbolically  features tracks from the digital album United Against COVID-19 – a  compilation of Italian deep/hypnotic techno artists united to give their contribution to healthcare facilities operating against the pandemic.

Italian-Dutch composer Aimée Portioli (@grandriver) is part of a new breed of artist who is meticulous in the way she sculpts and designs her sounds. Along with the likes of Donato Dozzy and Neel - who run the Spazio Disponibile label she debuted on in 2017, and returned to in 2018 with first album Pineapple - she imbues her deep rhythms with ambient beauty, classical minimalism and a real sense of symphony. She is a poly-instrumentalist who mixes tradition and formality with contemporary experimentalism, and also runs her own label One Instrument, releases on Ghostly and Longform Editions, and is an occasional A/V performer who is at home at the world's most avant garde clubs and festivals.

This week, Grand River takes us on an ambient journey as meandering and meditative as her alias suggests. It's a study in absorbing sparsity, where beautiful drones are layered up next to rippling chords. Found sounds drift in and out of ear shot and delicate keys turn into vast walls of ominous sound. The whole mix is like a melting glacier, in constant but subtle motion that leaves you in an utterly different place from where you started.

Based in NYC, Matt Altman is a young producer/dj specializing in the percussive and cerebral sounds of techno. Drawing from his drum driven background, and time at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has had releases on prestigious labels such as trau-ma in Portugal, Business Class Records in Colombia, among others. Matt has played at some of NYC’s most renowned clubs such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Cielo, and Output, playing for parties such as EXILE, Cipher, Push The Night, and Techno Cabin since moving to Brooklyn in 2016. With the launch of his label ALT Records and becoming a resident of the new and enticing SYITS crew, 2020 is shaping up to be his biggest year yet.

Born in NYC, Craft is an international music producer, composer and DJ based in Brooklyn with strong roots in Italy. He started to mix records in New York City in 1994 and his first original music productions date back to Rome in 1999. His discography now includes over 100 releases in both vinyl and digital formats across 15 EP’s, concept albums, collaborations and remixes released on more than 40 labels based in a dozen countries. In 2014 Craft composed a musical score for a Mexican cartel movie contributing 4 theme tracks. In 2018 he produced original music for a modern theatre production performing with the cast on tour in Abruzzo, Italy and at other similar theatre shows around NYC. In 2019 he began a collaboration of a series of music-centric cinematic videos as part of JediCollective.

Craft is recognized as co-founder of New York City’s intimate underground techno event series “Twice as Proper”. Since 2007, he curated over 270 underground showcases in basements, rooftops, warehouses, clubs and secret after-hours in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The longstanding series of Twice as Proper events have occasionally extended out to Detroit, Washington DC, Barcelona, Terracina, Mexico City and Playa del Carmen showcasing international artists alongside local techno and ambient acts.

In 2012 Craft co-found “Feed The Raver” show and was the radio host for 6 seasons airing regularly on Saturdays in the UK and online presenting local artists from around the world. 
Craft is founder of the Party People™ clothing line of shirts, hoodies, hats, facemasks, record bags, accessories and stickers represented by enthusiasts around the globe since 2007.

Also, Kajioka is known for his release "Never Ending" on Cocoon Recordings, as well as remixes for Truncate, Joel Mull, Elbee Bad, Alexander Kowalski, Heiko Laux, Tom Hades, Housemeister, Victor Calderone, DJ T-1000 and more. A distinguishing and striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all of his productions. Ray's live and DJ-performance encompasses all the elements of today's modern Techno and House music, but has its feet firmly planted in the roots of the Detroit-vibe.
