A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Lock in below and transport to the incomparable energy of Room 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes, we reckon, there's no place like it.

Now in its 200th instalment, this Podcast has given voice to a diverse offering of global talents across the musical spectrum, from the democratic rhythms of zeitgeist appropriate techno and house through to more avant-garde synthwork.

This next guest has cast a large shadow over the technosphere, so large in fact, that no introduction could fully encompass the breadth of his achievements. But in brief: Ben Klock is a titan whose formative years were spent playing marathon mixes to the crowds at Berlin’s (then recently opened) Berghain. Off the back of his endurance sets and the club’s success he became a household name whose influence grew to be felt across the world, with a body of work that includes appearances at an exhaustive list of clubs and festivals, a number of hot releases on Ostgut Ton and an equally respected self-run label (Klockworks) to boot. On this second imprint, his own productions have repeatedly seen the light of day, alongside those from the likes of DVS1, Sterac, Stef Mendesidis and younger talents like Temudo and Vil & Cravo. The sound, ubiquitous as it is, will be familiar to anyone involved in the world of electronic music and there’s good reason for that: Klock’s deep and percussive work and ability to pull from a wide range of influences have earmarked him as a unique agent for the techno cause. Forest On Stasys, co-founder of Danza Nativa, has long been delivering fresh sounds from Buenos Aires. Now, as the year draws to a close, he returns with a new project: Aura Sonora, a label devoted to sonic experimentation and exploration. He will launch the label himself with Magnetismo, a three-track debut available in a limited vinyl run and digital format from 25th November.

The EP’s closing track, Sideral, begins with a deep tribal feel that runs throughout the release, yet this final track offers something distinct. The eerie, low-end tones remain, but they are joined by a fusion of a nostalgic 90s acid vibe and a sense of futurism - a wonderfully executed combination of drum & bass, half-time, and techno, reminiscent in any of his sets.

A strong debut release for Aura Sonora—one designed for the dancefloor.

Born in Jerusalem and based in Tel Aviv, Assaf started his DJing career in 1994 by collecting records from all over the world. He runs the WAX2WAX podcast, focusing on House and Techno. 
He is a member of the B:Side Crew (House and Techno parties in Tel Aviv/Berlin) and, around 2020, began hosting his ‘Addictions’ Hypnotic Techno nights in Tel Aviv.
Assaf’s goal is to spread the deeper side of electronic music.
Nowadays, he mainly focuses on Ambient, Deep, and Hypnotic Techno.

Recently life made it possible for me to get a paino for free. So here is the first track i produced in which i recorded this piano. Apart from that, this is the first "live acted" recording of a track, that i decided to upload.When i started producing years ago I did not have any controller, synth or else - just used my laptop. Today i have up to 5 midi controls in use, which is actually pretty sweet, because the sound automatically gets more humanized, more small mistakes etc happen, that give it a nice groove and better dynamics.
