Is it a necessity? 
To keep our souls connected to you, 
Through your tokens?

Mental sickness mixed with tricks of cloaks and daggers.
Cut from the cloth of bigotry yet stained with the blood of false sympathy. 

Is it a necessity?
To keep our vision, solely on you.
All of our lives. 
Sycophancy became the primary focus.
Of maturity.
Moreso the illusion of maturity. 
When the goalposts indicate. 


A Necessary Evil

We're on one page forever. 
The lines multiply and blur together. 

Stories and histories serve only mendacity. Why can we not live candidly? 

Severed from time, blind to the sublime, we cannot see past our walls. 

Walls so tall it makes more sense to crawl.
To evade the divisions and decisions,

Of those that built the walls the way they are now.

Evil's End

It's always been there from the start.
That voice of love that can only come from the heart. 
Even though we've always lived waves and worlds apart,
Within these endless waters, 
I will always remember.
What was given to me in the month of December. 

The gift of perception. 
Eyes to see all that stands before me. 
Between the blinks sits the nature of appreciation. 
And you gave me this chance of reverie.

Hope springs eternal.
The fountain everlasting.
Lifting us always.
Upward in ascension. 

So to this meritocracy we swear fealty.
To the infinitely shimmery self revelry.
To the sanctity of narcissistic security.
I simply will not let go of the dramas of the flesh or the minds undertow. 
And I'm still amazed by the elasticity of the medias toxicity and perceptions of catastrophe. 

Hope Springs Eternal

She calls me out.
From my shell.
The light is so blinding.
Yet through the glare I can see.

In all the temples of man. 
I failed to find the master-plan. 
Or perhaps it was my lack of attention span. 

So. Preach me your Hollow Point.
Rip apart freedom of thought contort, distort, retort and consort. 
Separate the matter of me.

The Sirens are at the door. 
Just looking for more ways to spread the spore.
A roar to adore. I'm always left begging for more. 
Laws of man to hit the floor.
The hate stored within gnaws and becomes sore when it reaches the core. 
All taught to walk in line, forget our spine talk is fine. 

Words and wisdom, sweet old system. 
Wish I'd kissed them then released them.
Suffering is but a dream when,
Days are spent professing brilliance.
