Berlin and Detroit are probably the most important cities when it comes to techno history. Both metropolises are full of influences, energy and flow. The german capital of techno as well as its american counterpart are responsible for the incredible development of a worldwide music movement and its culture. Pierre Deutschmann, the Berlin dj producer and remixartist is part of the german techno scene since the beginning. You can call him a real "primitive rock" of techno. He dedicated his new album to Berlin and Detroit. These cities and the music from out there affected him during the last 20 years. The Berlin original is always busy in the studio. As label head of XLR1507, producer and remixer for lots of labels like Kiddaz, Bush or BluFin. Especially "BluFIn" can be described as his home base, so there was no doubt that his album "Betroit" will be released on that Cologne based label. The Album contains 15 unique and brand new tracks. The whole Betroit project was generated by Pierre during the last 6 months. Deutschmann has a very high musical standard. He experimented a lot with analogue gear and as a real perfectionist, it was really hard to make a cut til end. He worked and reworked on the tracks until the last minute. But now, he finished it and it can be described as a real techno masterpiece. Betroit shows and reflects Pierre Deutschmann from several sides. He collected countless of influences and experiences during the last decades, and he assimilated these in the album. The mix of classic and "oldschool" elements paired with modern and timeless techno tunes makes Betroit real special. It describes Pierre Deutschmann as a Dj and producer. The album tracks are perfect dj tools but the tracks are also working independently. It s serious techno for having fun with it. Doesn´t matter if it s before, after or in the club. Pierre Deutschmann`s Betroit will be released after the summer break, around september, on CD and digital. There will be a single release prior the album including the outstanding track "Emphasis". Pierre organized three very strong remixer for this number: DJ Emerson, Dubspeeka and Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink. Watch out and let you catch by the spirit of Betroit! Victor Ruiz’s VOLTA continues its prominence with another emphatic techno offering, providing the platform for a head-turning label debut from rising Brazilian starlet Lutgens as he delivers his “Fénix” EP with full force this September. Following releases on Panterre Musique, Prototype Music, IAMT and several others, Lutgens steps out of the studio with another undeniably potent package, spanning two hypnotic peak-time jams that showcase the full depth of his production skills.
Kicking off with the title cut “Fénix,” Lutgens wastes no time unloading that distinct ethereal-laced sound VOLTA is becoming synonymous with. Pulsating grooves, rippling low-frequency rumble, and rising musical resonance are all at play here, facilitating an expanding ebb and flow filled with atmospheric crescendos and deep-plunging breaks - hard-hitting interplanetary techno at its absolute finest yet again.
“Sinistro” brings the release to a head with another firm hand strike. Mark Michael has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting artists in modern Techno music. With a passion for pushing the genre’s boundaries and exploring new sonic landscapes, he has developed a style that is both otherworldly and deeply human.

It was with the release of 'Solar Storm' that Mark first propelled himself into the spotlight of the international Techno scene. The track quickly gained momentum and climbed to the top of the Techno Charts, earning a place among Beatport's Best Selling Techno Tracks of 2020.

Soon after, Mark's talent caught the attention of Techno legend Monika Kruse, leading to his debut on her iconic label Terminal M as one of the youngest artists to ever release on the imprint.

Having garnered the support of industry heavyweights Adam Beyer and Eric Prydz, Mark began touring throughout Europe and Asia, sharing the stage with artists like Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Artbat and several others.

In late 2022, Mark’s Single 'Mothership' was released on Pleasurekraft’s label Kraftek. Once again, the young Austrian made waves and turned the heads of Techno’s biggest names, further solidifying his innovative sound and position as a trailblazer in modern Techno music.

Mark Michael and Pleasurekraft wasted no time in 2023, kicking off the year with their collaboration 'Fear' - a one of a kind blend between Psy-Trance and Techno. With its rapid rise to popularity, 'Fear' is already being regarded as one of the most sought-after tracks of the year.

In September 2023, Mark Michael will make his return to Kraftek with a 3-track EP called "Rebirth“. 

With much to come, Mark Michael should definitely be on your watchlist as he continues to bring his genre-bending sound to the global dance floors.

Lead track ‘Weltschmerz’ sounds like an instant Berghain classic; dark, massive, trippy, and with an emotional character all too rare within the genre. A home grown product of the Frankfurt electronic scene, it’s only right that Michael Klein should find his way to Cocoon Recordings. After a string of releases on BLK DRP, Second State and Micro.fon, together with a DJ schedule that’s established him as a well known face on the European techno circuit, destiny has come knocking and the result is a two track EP
that will blow the roof off even the most sturdy of clubs.

Thunder clouds gather on “Yuzu“ - a full-on dose of headstrong, slamming techno. Rampant hi hats, a rasping bass and a frenzied acid riff conjure up a deliberately disorientating electric storm that takes a
certain amount of pleasure in battering the dance floor like a force ten gale. Plastik snare rolls dominate the breakdowns and whip-crack percussion prolong the audio beatings being dished out on
this ‘next generation’ acid-techno.

Klein adds some extra bounce to the raw, pounding beats on “Eureka“, creating a cavernous backdrop that transports you back to the heyday of E-Werk. Then, it’s all aboard the night train as the sounds
gradually morph into some kind of demonic locomotive, hissing and spitting out fire and smoke as it cuts a path through the darkness, hurtling full throttle into the abyss where at- mospheric tempo
changes to the main motif add an extra dimension of mayhem to proceedings.
