Starting with a haunting melody, this track of "Morning Tide" came together with a reflection of lyrical healing that followed. As a troop, we each added our own spin into the vibe of this track. The lyrics mirror the journey of healing within the window of self-discovery and Goddess channeling.

A note from Elyse :
The release of this song is dear to my heart; something I’ve been waiting on for almost two years. I woke up feeling a song concept move through me strongly, but couldn’t seem to get it into words. The next morning I received a phone call from my father, Michael, telling me that he couldn’t get out of bed the previous morning without writing down these song lyrics & the basic chord structures, knowing it was meant to be given to me. In what could only be cosmic synchronicity, it was the exact song essence I was feeling that same morning. From the lyrics and chords, I created a melody that my voice desired to sing.  It has been my singular pleasure to work with my father on this song, and to create, from whole cloth, a bridge spanning the generations. For over a year and a half, I played this song with just my guitar and voice. Then, upon joining with this magical musical project, the song saw opportunity to take on new life. Each member of Luness contributed their own gifts into this piece: the harmonic and melodic adjustments by Shasta, the synth layers and percussion by David, the instrumental layers and sections by Nick on the cello, Jordan on the guitar, and Gabe on the bass, all became imperative and were constructively accretive to the original version. I love every second of the sound that this song has become and am so happy to share it with this family.

A note from Julia regarding this piece: 
"Just as long as I am my own I’m hearing sound: a symphony. 
Rewriting stories of my past, new trajectories. 
Walking hand in hand with gentle eyes and steady feet.
Now I lend my mind to golden vibes and face the heat.”
 
There was a time when I misunderstood my continually shifting emotional universe.
As I witnessed myself in this perpetual state of self-doubt, I realized that affixing this witnessing to the neutrality of the observer would be how I could exist in the eye of the storm. 
I slowly learned that I could turn to my own internal chat room to uncover, integrate and align. 
 
As we continue to listen to our own voices of wisdom, we are led deeper in and wider out. 
Without truly understanding ourselves, how do we build bridges to one another?
If we do not touch the soil, how do we cultivate?
If we do not know our why, how do we lead?
If we do not face the fears within, how do we explore our differences? Our solutions?
If we do not dive into the self-talk, how do we achieve this radical self-love?
