"French musicians Alban Mercier(Officium) and Eric Desjeux (Tzii) team up after years of friendship for a 9-tracks collaborative album that will be out on OKVLT. The duo’s first recording attempt is a highly evocative and melancholic album based on the pair personal archives, techniques and souvenirs. A collection of twisted voices, haunting synths and percussions combining Tzii’s composition skills with Officium’s field recordings, chant and bleak approch of sound.

Interlaced with the haunted voice of Lou (1/2 of Reymour) and the precise arrangements of Yolek, this album is the result of meticulous sound work, fueling a constantly moving introspective odyssey.

Light Trap paints a moving chiaroscuro image, like the last rays of light passing through the teeth of a trap, just before it snaps shut on the moment.

Since 1996 TZII, music composer and filmmaker, and defined as a mountain of multiple figures by NYX, spreads his frequencies all over the world through touring from Eastern and Western Europe to Australia, passing by USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico and Africa, where he played hundreds of shows... His main aim is to reach transcendence through sound trance, layering and looping to another dimension avoiding intellectualism to let the emotional body flow freely on the waves...

She works mainly in video and writing, but is a multidisciplinary artist and organizer with always many diverse projects and collaborations underway. She's part of the Berlin artist collective THE PIZZA SUICIDE CLUB as well as head master of the art and music video label SHOCKING FILM. She's diving straight into the strange whenever she can!

For this record Tzii invited Liina for a special collaboration between the two artists, for her to bring words to the story that lives in his music. "The road trip through the abyss" and all its parts - the short movies, music and texts - have been created in a constant interaction, during times in Brussels, Berlin and on the road wandering together in Eastern Europe.
