ASEC is back on his self-titled imprint with five mesmerising techno cuts featuring remixes from PoleGroup’s Kwartz and Soma’s Temudo.

ASEC is a Berlin-based artist and label project centred around raw, yet hypnotic dancefloor-oriented electronic music. To Berlin via Manchester, ASEC’s productions focus on tension and release with tracks that build momentum and intensity. As a Producer, Live Act and DJ, ASEC delivers his driving and expansive electronic music vision, consisting of dark textures, idiosyncratic melodies and dynamic drum sounds. With releases exclusively on his label, ASEC’s tracks have acquired support from household names like Marcel Dettmann, Slam, Henning Baer and SNTS resulting in a live show debut at Tresor in 2020.

‘Small Collisions’ kicks off with elastic synths shimmering off the resounding kicks and crunchy modulations before ‘High Tool’ maneuverers between hypnotic atmospheres and dark, ominous textures balanced with ghostly pads and thudding percussion with emphatic frequencies. Up next, Looping transcendental rhythms, gloopy fx and entrancing leads peppered with undulating minimalism takes focus in the ‘F Brexit’.

Madrid-based artist and PoleGroup, Mord, Semantica and Warm Up affiliate Kwartz delivers a pounding remix of ‘Small Collisions’ as the carnivorous percussion bounces with the raw oscillations, fizzing, industrial components and dramatic machine sonics. Temudo is part of a new generation of techno artists with releases on Soma, Modularz, Clergy, Synewave and more, rounds off in exquisite style with a swinging interpretation of ‘High Tool’ fusing ripping rhythms, frazzled soundscapes and penetrating textures.

The split EP ‘Transmitting Coordinates’ comprises the efforts of Uun, whose roots lay in Kansas (USA), and Argentina’s Vladw – the former a familiar face, the latter a newcomer to the label. While the physical distance between their home bases couldn’t have been much bigger, their visions of techno and the mature sound it results in in both their tracks, are about as close as it gets. The similarities in this piece of present-day techno go beyond repetitiveness: both artists exceed at the use of glitchy tops blended with tight low ends, and letting those evolve so gradually that it nearly goes unnoticed. It results in these four solid cuts that need nothing but their comprehensive grooves to stay fascinating. One can only hope that somewhere in the future, the work of Uun and Vladw will find its way to many more EP’s like these.

Lush Lab is the moniker of the Berlin based artist Igor Girio.

Active in the Sao Paulo scene since the early  2000's, he gathers experience as DJ, promoter and sound engineer in some of the most exciting spotlights of South America and Europe.

Drawing inspiration from the 90’s ballroom underground, he delivers powerful doses of House and uplifting grooves, being flexible enough to fit different rooms and crowds, always keeping a high and evolving energy.

With a modern approach to mixing and more than 15 years of club experience, he is becoming a regular throughout the Berlin and Sao Paulo’s circuits, with recent presentations at Sisyphos, Else, Renate, Ohm, Khidi, TES and Blum.
