I seem to fall back to the same sounds from earlier tracks, even when I try to do something sonically different. I wanted this to be a slow-churning industrial drone, with dense sub-textures but... yeah, that didn't happen.

Strangers Estranged (Past Ships MIx)

This is a roughly hewn, frayed-edged and frazzled track cobbled together from accumulated well-worn sounds and creaky audio detritus lying about. It's as unpolished as most of my other tracks, only more so. Noisy, scrunched, mashed and mangled. Layers and layers of loud. As usual.

The atmosphere is trying to evoke the energy and seemingly invisible rage that exists between our atoms and molecules, which are the essence of what make us connected to everything, but ourselves.

None of that makes any sense, really.

But I love the way it builds.

On July 12, 2007, two US AH-64 Apache helicopters conducted airstrikes in a series of air-to-ground attacks in Al-Amin al-Thaniyah, New Baghdad during the Iraqi insurgency which followed the Iraq War. The attacks received worldwide coverage following the leaking of 39 minutes of classified gunsight footage in 2010, provoking ongoing global discussion on the legality and morality of the attacks. A selection of music that really hits me in the feels.
