LOVE US - Soft as Snow

“Softer hands” introduces a reality where art-electronics emerge from familiar club language. Sentimental melodies spray delicate feelings over metallic, hypnotising backgrounds. Distant, angelic choirs are softly moulded and shaped by whirring mechanical sounds, hisses and swooshes. Over time, the music leads inward, letting light through densely packed soundscapes. The result is touching, otherworldly, at times uncanny or post-apocalyptic, like an ensemble of machines learning to feel. The circle of three remixers perfectly understands the language cratje operates in, adding to the universe created within four original tracks.

Here is the recording of a set I played at La Machine a few days ago for 𝑊𝑒𝑖𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠' birthday. A mix focusing on 𝑒𝑝𝑖𝑐 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒 as a moving musical genre, that I'll describe as « the ambient sibling of deconstructed club ».
It features tracks that are either officially labeled as « epic collage », or inhereted from the genre (to me at least) — with still a strong narrative bias.
