Anjunadeep warmly welcomes Because of Art for his debut label release 'Free EP'. The title track, a collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and label-boss James Grant, was premiered on Anjunadeep 14 in April this year. The EP sees the London-based producer skilfully combine playful melodies, catchy vocal samples and washed-out pads, all centred around driving 4x4 beats and deep, warm basslines.

Because of Art has previously released on Stress Records, Armada, and has been championed by the likes of Skream and Danny Howard, as well as collaborating with industry heavyweight Sasha. His club-focused, melodic house & breakbeat has earned him support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM, as well as from DJ's such as &ME and Gorgon City.

Ben Pearce - What I Might Do

'Since 2015, American talents Blugazer and The Cynic Project have joined forces roughly once per year to craft an extraordinary collaborative tune; past favorites include “Feel Me Wondering,” “Waves On The Ocean,” and “Avalon.” Their latest offering, “Daydreams in Kyoto,” proves to be another exceedingly deep and soulful offering. Rounding out the EP, Blugazer contributes “Whisps,” a lush, chilled breaks composition.

The atmospheric and often blissful “Daydreams in Kyoto” centers on an almost aquatic soundscape, replete with myriad pad layers that submerge the cavernous groove. Meanwhile, in the distance, The Cynic Project can be heard gently whispering the recurring line, “because of the sound waves,” a sensual compositional element that evokes the mythological Sirens. Blugazer’s mesmerizing instrumental motifs continue to crescendo, as dancing arp lines begin to weave in and out of the mellifluous arrangement. After the journey peaks at the three-quarter mark, a smooth diminuendo offers the listener a relaxing wind-down and a moment of peaceful exhalation.'
