Following the original release of “La Leyenda” by Eli Rojas, Megablast, Eribertho Cruz and Lola Bozzano – a track celebrated for its warm Afro-Latin textures and organic groove – Luvlite Recordings now unveils two fresh remixes by established international producers.
Dimo (BG), a seasoned DJ and producer from Bulgaria, known for his work on labels such as Stereo Productions, Toolroom, and Redolent, delivers a remix shaped by deep grooves and an elegant club sensibility.
Manybeat, a Caracas-based producer and DJ from Venezuela, is regarded as one of the pioneers of Afro Latin House in Latin America. His version adds driving percussion and dancefloor energy, staying true to his rhythmic signature.

”Lies“ started with a very simple but catchy Juno 60 Arpeggio Bassline, which I created around 10 years ago.
 
I am an 80’s child and believe that in your early years, your subconscious mind stores a lot of first impressions and emotional moments. I listened to Roxy Music at my parents’ home when I was a kid, alongside all the great pop tracks from Icehouse to New Order, which were played on the radio.  
 
2020, when Covid started, I was locked in my studio on the island of Ibiza. I couldn’t see my little daughter, all my flights got cancelled and I had no idea when I would see her again. A few weeks later my beloved grandmother who supported me on my path with music since I was a kid passed away. I was swept up in a wave of heavy emotions and really down.
 
So, I decided to put all my emotions in the track I started so many years ago. I made a post on FB asking if anyone had any idea of a vocalist who could fit my expectations and I got introduced by my friend Luna Ibiza, to Steven Jones who was based in the UK.
 
I sent him ideas of the vocal I had in my mind. He liked it a lot and started recording and sent me the parts. Later on I got in touch with Depeche Mode’s Tour Drummer Christian Eigner, who I went to school with. He immediately liked the track and the idea, and recorded the drums for „Lies".  I added some guitars with Matthias Simoner and it took quite a while to finish the whole package.

Today, I can tell that going with the flow without any stress is the best way for producing music. Many people might be surprised as it’s (maybe) untypical for what I am known for, regarding my earlier productions like „Vamos" or "Soy Como Soy", which were heavily influenced by Afro Cuban music. I don’t want to be categorized. I want to create timeless, beautiful music with no borders. 

Music is a mission and not a competition.

Once I heard the idea a mental picture started forming in my head.
I heard a guitar chord sequence that I recorded years ago and still had the file. I just tried throwing it down on top of the rhythm track and although it was in a different key it seemed to work.
A melody and feeling knocked on the door and asked to be remembered so I thought ‘lets bash it down and record it’ and I scribbled the lyrics on a piece of paper as it seemed to happen in a wave of energy.
The basic idea was made in an hour. I spent many more shaping it and living with it and bouncing it back to Sascha and Res. We went with the flow.
Written in the middle of lockdown when many of us were forced to confront personal struggles in solitude, this was for me a release to my own troubles and a personal moment where once again music lifted my life freely and even though it is away from my usual style, I am happy to hear it living.

Austria’s Luv Lite Recordings returns with a new single from sibling pair Sascha & Andi Weisz AKA Weisz2 backed with remixes from Scan Mode and Jepe...

Sascha Weisz has been making musical waves for some time now with his unique take on House music, influenced by elements of Afrobeat, techno and electronica. Recording as Megablast and often pairing up with fellow producer Makossa he has build a solid reputation for productions that fuse an intelligent technical approach with the true spirit of the dancefloor and in the process has become one of Austria’s key dance music exports.
Now Sascha pairs up with his younger brother Andi who has recently started producing alongside production partner Michi Schrenk as WEISZ&SCHRENK. Together the brothers have adopted the apt moniker Weisz2 and here pool their considerable musical talents to create the sunkissed and excellent ‘El Vagabundo’ alongside guitarist Pablo J and percussionist Christian Einheller.
The release opens with the original version, an afrobeat infected, bass driven slice of House with scattered percussion and ricocheting synth stabs providing the basis for Pablo J’s heavenly Andalusian guitar parts. The first of the remixes sees Cadenza Lab artist Scan Mode drop things a little deeper with a stripped back reworking that draws on a rolling loop to provide the backing for the distinctive guitar. Finally Portugal’s Jepe delivers two superb versions in the shape of the intense and cosmic ‘Intercontinental Plentary mix’ and the housier ‘Red Sand Mix’.
This is another winning package from the Luv Lite imprint and a great introduction to the musical pairing of the brothers Weisz.

The vocals were recorded in a small studio in Negrille, while Sabo was visiting Jamaica and DJing at the Tmrw Tday Festival. Sabo was referred to this studio by his Rasta taxi driver Ricardo, and on the first visit, after waiting a half hour for the engineer to show up, he was told, “come back round tomorrow and play da riddims fah mi singer”.
When Sabo returned the next day he met the beautiful smiling Steffy Biz, and in just two takes she laid down the vocals for Pum Pum Technician. Loving to work on music in collaboration with others, Sabo reached out to an old friend. Having remembered some of the ground breaking fusion tracks Makossa & Megablast released in the mid 2000’s on G-Stone records, which combined international rappers and singers over electronic tribal beats, he knew Megablast would be into the idea of re-igniting a “ragga dancehall” influence into modern house music. Megablast took Sabo’s idea and went even further into electronic cosmic sounds, reworking the original 4 on the floor groove into a uptempo dancehall breakbeat rhythm in the spirit of the Jamaican „Punanny Riddim” with an organic tribal flair.

Megablast teams up with Stefan Seelenwald to produce Mikele Dio - "A Kind Of Lite" featuring Aminata Seydi, a slow burning but epic feeling track right from the off. The kicks under lap gently as whooshes of air and nimble synth lines grow to a peak. A tight, plucked hook adds plenty of funk and the shadowy vocal shines through with plenty of soul. When it reaches the mid point the track is a soaring house anthem with deft production that shines and glows bright.
As well as a radio edit there is a remix from Weisz & Schrenk. This version is more kinetic and bristling from the off, with train track like percussion racing alongside taught, well designed synths that add colour, depth and plenty of mood. Groovy but melodic, it’s the sort of track that elevates dancefloors to the next level with ease.
Another fine missive from this Austrian, crew, then, which proves them to be leading lights in the global scene.
