Born in France, raised in USA, Taiwan & Hong Kong, Romain’s rootless background, aspires him to dream of a borderless cosmos where everyone dances in harmony to the rhythm of any melody. After moving to Europe half-time, he launched his production career with releases on his own imprint Fauve Records as well as on other labels such as Permanent Vacation, Kalahari Oyster Cult, 禁 JIN, Freeride, Millennium, MINITEL, LAGASTA, Eskimo Recordings…Thanks to 15 years of crate digging, this fellah knows his classics as well as some of the most obscure nuggets & can adapt his sets to any context. From sunrise sessions on a beach to a festival on the Great Wall of China.

Alex Kassian welcomed the first sunrise at Solar Village in 2023, and we can now listen back to his performance. He took Wonderers on a journey that started downtempo and slowly built his set out, marking a new direction for sunrise performances at our beloved venue.

This is a large portion of my 12 hour set at Stereo Montreal on September 28, 2024, my longest solo set ever. Missing are the first 2 hours, which I cut for better overall flow, as well as the last hour, which was not recorded as my recorder ran out of battery power.

To me, Stereo represents the absolute top of electronic music clubs worldwide. It is one of the few places that gives DJs the canvas to play long sets under near optimal conditions - an amazing sound system, great monitors, beautiful and subtle lighting and - last but not least - a knowledgeable, demanding and unified crowd.
