As an artist, founding member and A&R of theBasement Discos and its sublabels, Sam Paradise began leaving a mark on the House scene in 2019. 

Sam produces and plays a wide range of groovy music: From soulful and jazzy House through peaktime Disco and Garage, with a focus on rare 90s gems, funky basslines, catchy (rap) vocals, and huge piano riffs.

His tracks on Demuja's Muja Records and Oath label are part of compilations with legends such as Rick Wade, Boo Williams, and Shinichiro Yokota and have been played by artists like Cinthie, Dam Swindle, Demuja, and Herr Krank.

You can’t really pin down Plaisance, and that’s exactly the point. Fresh off their debut Coldie EP on Apparel, the French duo step into our 261th episode of the Apparel Radio series with a mix that feels like their music: somewhere between Paris nights and a Chicago basement, equal parts elegance and raw groove. It’s house with character, deep, and cool. Tom & Antoine don’t need to shout to be heard; they just set the vibe and let it ride.

ALONE TOGETHER SESSIONS 001 // DEEP & UNDERGROUND HOUSE

After his 2024 album The Spirit Continues, Tilman returns with Altered Spaces, a tightly focused four-track EP that distills his signature sound into a concise, club-ready format. 

Opening track Make My Body Move sets the tone with soulful vocals, warm piano stabs, a rolling bassline and a breezy Balearic vibe. The Last Resort deepens the mood, layering pads, organ hits and shimmering strings over a steady, driving groove. 

Rounding out the EP are two reimagined cuts from The Spirit Continues. Dance Department (Spirit Mix) smooths out the rougher edges of the original, adding organ stabs and a more melodic sensibility. Need It (Dance Dub) transforms the track into a softer, dub-tinged version - hypnotic, restrained and full of subtle movement.

Altered Spaces is classic Tilman: warm, understated house music that's rich in detail and groove - made for dancers and deep listeners alike.

Nico Lahs is back on his home label U Fit with another effortlessly classy house EP. This is the latest in a long line of accomplished outings from this prolific producer and, as always, it manages to subtly straddle different worlds. 'Do What U Feel' is vibey house with excitable drums and chords that get you wanting to move, then 'Get Away' sinks you into a sun-kissed Mediterranean house sound awash with breezy chords. 'Losing Respect' is darker, more gritty and dusty, then a Specter remix flips 'Get Away' into a timeless deep house jaunt with real Chicago roots.

Jonna has been playing music with soul for the past 20 years, from the City Fly basement parties @ Sophbeck (RIP) in his hometown of Leicester, to the festival circuit in Croatia to the dark underground clubs of Berlin and as far as Tokyo. He has also supported the likes of Roy Ayres (RIP), Children of Zeus, Benji B, Underground Resistance & MCDE to name a few! 

Jonna has released notable music on Lumberjacks in Hell, BBE, Shadeleaf Music, Flat White Records and his own imprint City Fly Records which has gained support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Mr Scruff, Jimpster and Derek Carter to name afew. His last release 'Jus Move' featuring Javonntte with Marcellus Pittman & SoulPhiction (RIP) Remixes was featured in Juno Records Top 10 'Best Deep House Records’ of the year and was ‘Release Of The Day’ on Resident Advisor.

Recently, Jonna has been concentrating on his music promo service ‘Unveil PR’ and starting a family but is still an avid record collector and selector spanning many genres of the musical spectrum.
