Defiant Eyes is inspired by the DSCH motif in Shostakovich's 10th Symphony.
The power, noise, and momentum of an orchestra can be an incredible force and in Defiant Eyes I set out to channel my two very different musical worlds and combine my love for electronic music with my background as a classical instrumentalist and composer.
Defiant Eyes includes my violin alongside synthesised strings, with most of the synth parts recorded on the Arturia MiniFreak and the Korg Minilogue XD.
Percussion elements explore my love for recording unconventional foley percussive sounds and are then combined and layered with synth drums.
Defiant Eyes is the title track of my upcoming EP.

Foot Prints of a Big creature from Japan

LUX SYMMETRY is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Belgium.
Using a combination of electronics with live instruments, she aims to create genre-defying landscapes and pulsing tracks that would be equally at home in the early hours of a darkened night club as they would in a concert hall. Lux retains an inescapable melancholy throughout her works, and describes her compositional style as “maximal minimalist”.
