This track talks about the corruption of the innocence and shows how religious leaders takes advantage of people's faith.
It was created in my little home studio, tired of the hypocrisy of most religious people, talking about mercy but stabbing you in the back, looking away when the neighbor is in need or their church commit a crime.
Angry and sad for all the atrocities, wars and deaths that men execute in name of religion I just want their lies away from me.

Luz Mala

Lies

"Lux Mala" is the song that gives the name of the album, it's about an old story from the country where I was born, Argentina. 
It consists of the nocturnal appearance of a bright light that floats low above the ground. It can remain motionless, move, or in sometimes, chase someone at high speed. 
Luz Mala (Bad light) is commonly identified as a "banshee," the spirit of a deceased person who did not receive a Christian burial. Before an encounter, it was popularly recommended to say a prayer and then bite the sheath of the knife.
The thing is, you have to scape because is a bad luck omen, and lately since I moved here to Spain wherever I pass by, someone has a little accident: people fall, they drop something made with glass, the wind blows their clothes, even the weather in Spain get worst after a lot of years since I came here. 
I just thought it's a funny coincidence, but the song talks that I'm a Luz Mala, a bad luck for any one close to me.

My ode to loneliness, freedom and the pride of not depending on anyone to do what I like the most.

This is the first time I sing songs in my native language. These songs were realesed in my first album (Lux Mala) in English, but I had the need to translate them and listen to them in a more raw and harsh aspect.

Now they mean a lot more to me, each of these five songs are statements, in which I find strength and courage every time I need it.
I hope someone else can use them in the same way.

Vamos a la Luz

The lyrics of this song are based on Stephen King's novel:
"Gerald's Game".
I was inspired by reading his book and tried to use the key moments of the story to achieve a minimalist, raw and harsh lyric.

The song has analogies about the need to escape a deadly situation by doing whatever it takes to survive, looking for the only solution to a wicked game that went wrong.

This song talks about being in a catacumb, dead, beign a naked skull surrounded by more bones without life. It's a recordatory of what we will become.

CATACUMBA

“Metamorphosis” is the second studio album by Lux Mala (solo project of the Argentine composer and producer Nathalie Astrada, currently living in Spain).
It consists of twelve (12) songs which reflect different circumstances, emotions and thoughts that have been fluctuating over two years of introspection and compositional experimentation, after having published her first album “Lux Mala” in November 2022.

Although the album is basically a collection of songs quite different from each other in terms of ambiance, sound and genres, what unites these songs is the need for change, pain, effort, chaos and acceptance that each of us must go through every time we have to mutate into something better than what we are now, emphasizing how to combat fear in order to progress and accept the Metamorphosis.
