Starting from a rough place in D.Rich’s life, he had just sold his ‘78 custom Fleetwood Caddy that he had been sleeping in. Used the sale money to fly to Atlanta and stayed with friends who had access to a studio.

Hearing the track for ‘Think About Me’ (originally a Jersey club/Afro beat) gave D.Rich the inspiration to write about his life. He visualized how his family, friends and foes talked about him and treated him. D.Rich wrote to the haters and to the people who didn‘t believe in him. He wrote to the people who were talking behind his back. He wrote ‘Think About Me’ with a vision of these same people watching him perform as a successful Hip Hop pioneer from Jersey.
