This was a passion project that I completed in April of 2016.  As a kid growing up in Indiana, rain and thunder storms would pass through our town constantly.  I loved listening to the storms pass and, quite often, I would go to my family's piano and play during it. It was one of those little moments in my life that I found completely meditative.  When I was planning my recital, I knew I wanted to write something completely new and I wanted to it be something personal.  Night Storm places the listener on a Midwestern porch out in the country as as storm approaches and passes through.

Back when Positive Grid's BIAS Amp actually fucking worked on my computer, I was experimenting with some pretty nasty tones, and this was one of them. Being the creative mastermind that I am, I decided to test it using an almost cover of Dreams in Inertia by Code Orange. I didn't use a tab, I just played something that I thought sounded vaguely like it and made the the drums similar-ish.
